SF2 is mostly popular as one of the first fighting games to have a lot of the conventions that are now standard in the genre, such as teching throws and super moves, with Super Turbo being the last release in arcades. It innovated the genre with the evolution of the range game, thanks to the evolution that came with the specials. Doesn't mean it aged well but is respected as one of the games that influenced the genre where it is now, similar to how Marvel 2 and SF3 are respected for keeping the FGC together through the rough times.
I find it funny when he acts like he cared about ST as before the infamous "neogeo conversion" of sf2 he played at evo he never played it competitvely, instead being a marvel 2 player that was remembered for being lackluster at it.
He's always been a sore loser, it's since he plays only online that he plays it up so much as he isn't afraid of being mocked to his face. Which makes it also funny when he complains about things "only being possible online" as though he even remembers what it was like. The last time he played anyone offline was Rambo more than a decade ago on sf2 HD, where Rambo was regularly winning against him.

I have fun playing fighting games even though I’m not that good.
I like watching Phil playing them though, because it really shows who he is as a person.
Phil wins? “ACK! ACK! ACK! Get WRECKED SCRUB!! What a LOSER!” Etc.
Phil loses? “I BLAHCKED! Nothing I could do! ONLINE LAHG!” And all the other Philisms he’s known for. Or the player is an “online scrub” button mashing himself to a win against a poor defenseless Phil whose moves don’t come out.
Phil loses it under pressure: I don’t think I’ve ever seen him come back from being close to defeat (like others do against him). Whenever his health gets low, he panics and starts mashing buttons while yelling about his moves not coming out and “ahnline tactics!”
Phil is lazy: He barely takes the time to learn about new characters/combos and tactics aside from what tutorial mode and “campaign mode” teaches you. While people serious about FG study this shit intensely when a new game comes out, Phil plays his 2-3 hours a day and expects that every game plays exactly like SF2.
Nostalgia isn’t the real reason for his snore fest SF2 streams. It’s because it’s the only FG where he can expect to cheese out easy wins. (As long as he doesn’t play the really good players in Fightcade!)

The irony is kind of delicious considering Phils old habit of furiously looking for a MUTE button whenever someone trolled him in voice chat.

With his denthead mods in charge, you can be sure that all comments from actual fans will get gassed, while subtle sneak diss from detractors will get through.

That is what I'm hoping for. A Tsunami of positivity that are so servile and groveling he can't figure out if from real wheelchairs or trolls.
He'll be sifting through this shit for a good while, unless he outsourced it to the mods like @hundredthousand suggested.

You really think he'd be giving the keys to his kingdom (or the gin cellar of it), his livelyhood, his only real source of income to his mods? People who in his mind could become detractors at any given moment? After the disaster he experienced a few years ago when his pissed off mods locked him out of his own King of Hate forum? It's funny you parody Alcoholics Anonymous because someone mentioned that Rekieta has what's called an alcoholic's nose - or something, I dunno, it's some German term. Basically people that drink a lot over many many years eventually get some kinda goblin jew nose thing going on. Since Philbert literally brushes his teeth with Tanqueray I'd say he's well on his way to looking like a pasty Gringotts goblin in a few years.

If anything it seems like a super easy way to get a message directly to phil, whether the comment actually stays or not.
Just post something like "hey Phil everyone on the internet knows about your 16.51 wwe champions transactions"
Sure it won't get approved to stay but he'll at least see it and it'll hurt his ego seeing stuff like that.
