A good way to end the stream is bitching about how the stream chat is not telling him how to win a match...

Throwing in some chat caps from the end!

lol. Abi is so braindead it's ridiculous. Just watch someone who has had success with him and you'll see how simple his play style is. Coolkid and Problem X comes to mind. He only has to touch you a couple of times and you're done.

He won't win EVO any time soon, but if you are good at capitalizing on mistakes you are basically unbeatable unless the other guy doesn't make mistakes.

lol @Phil today

i have very small time select streamers i view. (10 viewers or so) we pop in, chat with eachother, other viewers yadda yadda. its chill, were all having fun. sometimes well just talk to eachother and the streamer will pop in and laugh with us, sometimes well talk about the streamer and the game.

phils chat does that with tut and what does phil do? loses his fucking shit. (also i fucking love it when he goes on a rage induced rant while also screaming about negativity and positivity, "IM NOT GOING TO HAVE THIS FUCKING NEGATIVE GARBAGE IN HERE ANYMORE!" god i love that delicious irony)

christmas time is around the corner. the time of the year phils donations go up. but a good indicator that hes dying is every year you look at the growth for christmas time, it gets smaller and smaller

Right?? It's all lollocoasters when he's unhappy & asschappy. :unholy: I love it.

You get the perfect tsunami of him diametrically contradicting himself within one sentence & somehow both points he made are still narrow-sighted & wrong..

And then his ability to lie in the flaming face of uncontroverted evidence of the opposite of whatever he'ssaying.. half because he knows he's dancing for the same dozen room-temp IQs that he only has beat by a <5 point margin.. & half because he really just is too glacial on the uptake to realize that he's so fucking glacial.. :lit::lit::lit:

And since I can't handle Sidella & DSPissbaby's chronic upspeaking, I haven't watched any footage in months, so I'm delighted that everyone is just narrating it all here for me to read. Semper Fi, my famalamz.

In case there's any question about what Phil's top priority is. Less than 150 viewers? WHO CARES! I got $80 from 3 people, so it doesn't matter!
He needs to man the fuck up and just come out and say it. "Well, I didn't have as many viewers as I'd like but I made decent money." That would be so much more respectable than this "interaction," bullshit.

Well, I'm very happy for you, Philip. But I'm also quite confused because I see mention of 'viewership' in there and I have been explicitly told several times, called a nudnik for needing to be told, even... that you don't look at views at all, ever. I'd hate to think that the person who said that to me would engage in any kind of insincerity.

The first 2 mins here are amusing I thought...a garbage truck comes and makes noise and the hermit peaks through the blinds to the outside world to see how the "outdoor humans" live

Edit: also head phones for a professional streamer are bordering on being detractors

I'll add some stuff to @SauceRyuKen 's post. Partly cuz there's a lot to catch up on. Partly cuz I'll never again have a reason to use this information

When tutankhamunn first appeared in Phil's chat, he spammed handfuls of single Bits. He was told by a mod to please to spamming. He then moved to spamming $1 worth of Bits, etc. This went on for the next 4 hours, eventually accumulating to about $2,000.

The Bit spam naturally aroused suspicion, and Twitch staff were notified by many. One Twitch staffer appeared on Phil's viewer list (to my knowledge, at least 3 others have since popped in, as well). The suspicion aroused by tutankhamunn would lead, according to him, to Amazon biefly freezing his account.

He resented Amazon for a spell after this. There was some confusion when a $100 Paypal donator, believed at the time to be tut, charged back the money. Phil lamented this troll and the loss of his tut treasure on Twitter (even though there's no way to refund that $2,000 in Bits). tut claimed his innocence for the charge back in chat.

IIRC, he would donate through Paypal ("no more money for Amazon", as he wrote in chat), but despite his resentment, settled on blowing away all of Phil's subscriber goals.

@Proper Pangolin has an interesting post on page 3551 tying together tut's involvement with the two other Twitch Cows. Proper Pangolin believes that it was LTG's modding of the big-spending tut that got LTG his recent Twitch ban. As the theory goes, since this is something that's gotten LTG into trouble before, it could have been set-up by tut with that in mind.

This is an interesting tidbit I hadn't considered.

God bless you, my friend <3

@Dragoonism Do the LTG "Detractors" know about OverRustle Logs? Maybe there's been less occasion to use it. According to their Patreon, a $5 pledge allows you to add a channel that it'll follow. Might be a worth while investment :)

I don't know much about WingsOfRedemption. Would Sean Ranklin know enough about tut for him to see it as worth mentioning?

He says he doesn't want chat "harassing". Maybe he's trying to quell the "negative" community that tut criticized. This is Phil's "addressing the problem in his community without addressing it", like his weaseling during the Doxening.

I watched the John and Howard response video recently and John mentions Phil's affinity for meeting confrontation this way: “He goes on to compliment me, and then bury me after that, which is a weird mixture he likes to do sometimes” (Phil even does during his retrospective Project 7 review, maligning the actor Chap with criticisms he claims came from John, then goes on to say he personally never found fault with Chap).

Thank you! I really appreciate the detail. I am confused about one thing, how doxxed is Tut?

I love you fabulous autistic motherfuckers.

He chose the perfect GIF. More mindless sheeps. Or are they more like wolfs in wooly skins who want to feast on his outrageous idiocy? Who knows? But apparently counting Twitter followers is part of his daily self-adulation (I learn new words every day). To be fair, many ppl do that, I just don't get it.
https://thekingofhate.com/forums/topic/4513-the-ban-hammer-emote-is-not-a-good-idea/

This topic on TKOH is a good read, best bit is it got closed before Amityville could respond to being chewed out.

(archive: https://web.archive.org/web/2018100...4513-the-ban-hammer-emote-is-not-a-good-idea/)
You can clearly see the difference in these ppls thinking processes. Amityshill is trapped inside the nice comfy zone of defending Phil against any little problem, because it's all about him and keeping up the status quo. While Niche (praise him pls) looks from the neutral outside and tries to improve Dave's streams and community, tries to make it more accessible for a wider audience. I'm completely on his side, the ban-emote is a horrible idea, it transforms bans into part of the cult, something to be embraced,as something positive. When in fact it's something completely negative. Hurra, we banned someone, yeaaay - this is what it says, absolutely horrible.
However, I can't think of a more honest emote which reflects the "community" better. As if Dave suddenly got self-aware. And it also reflects perfectly how less thought he invests in his presentation. Streetsmart, valedictorian, business guy, full time ignoramus.

This guy would be a feast for psychologists. He gets worse and worse and worse. He can no longer control the madness.

I agree the banhammer emote is at least honest. Due to Tut's recent whaling, Dave's in a different headspace now. His "I got a lot of pahsitivity and interaction in Dragon Quest with no viewers, dood!" tweet basically spells it out.

Dave and his business degree are going to push a new narrative. It's now an exclusive shtreem, for the smartest, the least childlike. The quality, gentlemanly shtreem attender chooses Darksfadil, where he can be in the company of other exceptional (good AND bad sense) human beans. I mean, subbing gets you all these cool emotes, that will get you literally laughed at in any other twitch channel. I gotta hand it to him, it's almost a stroke of genius. By letting people run wild with rape ero RP in chat, he gives the Divine Herd a bad name. Then the Divine Herd can't socialize outside of their own little club. Which means they are unlikely to latch on and support other more competent players. I think Tut might have tried to push things in this direction, with his following of actually competent Fighting Game players and lowkey shilling of LTG's chat. Which is marginally less exceptional. Hell, even LTG himself isn't as ban happy as Darksfadil is. Much easier to get timed out for 600 than GTAB'd.

@BSV sorry for the ping, but could you give some insight of the inner workings of the mod circle? I get the distinct sensation that Dave pushes for this sort of "Atmosphere control" where it's not banning just vaguely negative things said against him, but negative things that might spark independent thought. I.E "Why do we like Phil so much?" "Providing entertainment is on the streamer, not the chat." "Have you even played SFV offline though?" "You don't know what you're talking about here, Phil." These get addressed by Dave at times, but he never really acknowledges them. He just gives a token "Stupid troll got banned, huhuh!" I know he frequently tries to minimize exposition to an outside view of the narrative and get mods to flag channels that provide one. He just likes situations where not only is he in deathgrip control, but he's viewed as something of an authority on whatever we're talking about. Does he actively try to enforce this?

Like a trash P2W mobile game, Phil's only gonna be aiming for the very top tier whales. Grovelling for money, after all, has gotten him Vidar, Swagginz and Tut. Even Goldencolts has somehow stuck around. He has made it clear time and time again this is all he cares about. He will use the upcoming Tut banishment arc to push a new narrative. Since Tut's gone, he really needs your support. You can support him in a variety of ways. You can gib moni(bitchere), gib moni(sub) or gib moni(tipshegetsthoserightawaytheyreallyhelp), AND GET A COOL NOTIFICATION OUT OF IT! Unless you're trolling, then no one read it, saw it, or cared. Huhuh!

The banhammer is a sign of things to come. More deep cover troll bans, more Swagginz swinging his dickhammer around, more stalling and refusing to win already in hopes of getting more tips, and more boring gameplay. And of course, begging every step of the way. In short, more Darksfadil.

i made a new twitch account today to clip stuff and post it, it's already been banned so i guess phil or one of his mods for sure is monitoring this thread lmao. i wonder who

Here's a tip. Archive everything. DSP deletes clips at the end of his stream, and he deletes them especially quick if they have a negative title.

What you do is you clip it like normal, let streamable.com archive it for you, delete the clip immediately then you can be free to link the streamable anywhere you like, forever.

A lot of newfriends here aren't very good at archiving anything unfortunately.

Tevin was also just commenting on this, but I have to say, this "Nyuhuh" or "Duhuhuh" fake laugh thing that he has taken to doing constantly to fill silences during playthroughs is starting to spin out of control. They probably compose 25% of the sounds he makes now. It's getting more obnoxious than the clown laugh or the 'ack ack' variations of fake laughs. He doesn't even do it at things that are meant to be funny, he'll just use them as a generic reaction when he has nothing else. And much like the 90 Degree Goatee Stroke, Phil claims to have no knowledge of doing it when people comment on it. Losing control of your faculties can be a scary thing. Nothing he could do.

Maybe Dave has exceptionally early onset dementia https://www.healthline.com/health/dementia/early-warning-signs#causes he was hospitalized twice from car accidents in his late teens and early 20's, going from class valedictorian to whatever he is now certainly seems like a pretty drastic decline. We don't meet Dave for 10 years after those milestones when he seems legitimately stoopid.
The sad thing is I'm only 50% joking, it would explain why it takes Dave 3 hours to pay his bills every Sunday at least  Phil, when you read this 50% of me thinks you legitimately should get a cognitive analysis if you ever see a doctor again.

I wouldn't even bother with Twitch clips, as @JackDavis above says DSP is quick to delete any clip he thinks is negative. Your best bet is to setup OBS Studio, load up the VoD for the current stream (you can refresh it to get newer stuff if he says something later you want to record) and configure OBS Studio to do a screencap of it. e.g. On a 1080p monitor, with a maximized browser window you can get the video player to be exactly 1280x720 (720p) and record just that portion for a 720p video, or alternatively capture the whole monitor as a 1080p video so you can see the chat too. Just make sure you're on an incognito browser window and covering your taskbar etc. (e.g. F11 for fullscreen for the browser so it covers the taskbar) so you don't record any personal info from your setup.
My recordings used to be using this method on the YouTube or Twitch stream, stopping and starting the recording every few minutes and deleting the recent segments if nothing worth archiving happened. But this method assumes you're willing to record the entire stream as opposed to 'rewinding' with the current VoD for highlights.

@BSV sorry for the ping, but could you give some insight of the inner workings of the mod circle?
I'll quickly point out that BSV was banned from Twitch in January 2018, which was either before Twitch even implemented the "rooms" feature (subchannels for chat, defaults to a subs only room, DSP has added a mods only room) or before DSP made the mods only room, so he won't have any info on that. My understanding is DSP either gets emailed info and/or has some community room e.g. a Skype group chat where fans who pay attention to detractors send him info so that he's aware of things. Some of this is even just public tweets tagging DSP of things detractors say.

This will be a little :powerlevel: but I did fairly well in school. We didn't have the concepts of 'valedictorian' here (but then we didn't have prom either and do now, so maybe that's changed) but I would've been top 10-20% of my year, one of the typical nerdy loser kids. Fortunately or unfortunately from your point of view my life didn't need to keep up with problem solving, allowing me to live in a fairly lazy & care free way... BUT as the saying goes, 'use it or lose it' and it's clear to me my intelligence has waned over the past 15-20 years since school when not needing to think and puzzle out problems.

This is what I imagine is happening to DSP - since late 2010 he hasn't held down a job, he's just been able to dump gameplay on the Internet and get paid for it. Chances are that Helicopter Support Inc. job didn't make him think much either, so for 10+ years he's been able to let any intelligent focus fade away.

Just thinking about gameplay, for the last 5+ years he's had a stream chat to solve his gameplay problems for him, and even before that he had YouTube comments, emails & tweets to guide him - e.g. MGS3 The Sorrow was spoiled by comments on late MGS2 parts, which is why DSP went from shooting a lot of people in MGS2 to just tranqing them in MGS3. He is naturally going to struggle if he has to problem solve in a video game by himself, quickly giving up and looking to chat or just pulling up a guide.

It may have changed since I was there, now there is a dedicated mod chat. But I suppose it's still very much up to each mod how he moderates. It's no clear guidelines. Phil will honestly just care in really extreme cases. The only time I saw anyone lose their priveledges was with ginosaji and Bethe they had to work really hard for it. The only time he addressed us was usually publicly through the stream. We had to hash out bans / unbans between ourself. If someone did a unfair ban it was usually phil. And we would usually correct it. Bethe in particular was a bit too good doing this.
I personally used chatlogs of the individual user to see their history. And recommended that everyone should do that. Especially when someone requested to be unbanned. I can't comment on how they are doing it today. But a mod is usually not an asshole because phil tells them to be. They are just like that quite naturally.
