The past week or so I noticed DSP's live viewer count being pretty low at random moments, so since I was bored while battling the flu , I decided to dive into this a little deeper. This also ties into the observations about how utterly boring and low-effort his streams are.

I went through the archived re-streams and took the live viewer count from his own channel (DSPGaming) at hourly intervals, and these are the results. Not ground-breaking stuff by any means, but I wanted to share this anyway.

Some conclusions:

• The average live viewer count is hands down abysmalfor a Youtube channel with 219K subscribers
  • not surpassing the 182 mark during early streams
  • not surpassing the 156 mark during late streams
• The highest number of live viewers is 350
• His best scoring streams were the two Battlefield 6 streams
  • more people tuned in just to see the train wreck of his game journalist-style skills
• Looking at the average viewer count and his $150-per-stream goal, he basically expects literally every viewer to give him $1, which is absolutely insane
  • but in reality it's 3 to 4 whales coughing up 50-70% of the total amount of contributions, every single stream without fail
• Everyone loves DSP now!
• DSP is fat and I would not have sex with him

I knew his view counts were bad but not to this extent. We often joke that if Phil could just stream to 4 whales and no one else, he would. At this rate he just might, in a few years. Given that he lives a lifestyle built around reckless spending on food and gacha, if I was him I would be shitting myself seeing metrics like this. Nothing about this is sustainable. Dave is delusional though so he will just spin it into some excuse to help him sleep at night; Youtube is a shitty platform. Detractors are to blame. It's Tevin's fault.

I'm going purely off memory here from when I used to pay more attention, but I think it was only about a year ago right before KC arc started that his lowest live viewership that I can remember was like 350-380 live viewers. His lowest just a year ago is his peak now, but yeah this will go on 20 plus more years. Everything is coming up Phil(except LTG's BBC which is very sad for our boy)

I would love to see a Phil interaction in the wild. I think the fact that she voluntarily left the public Internet was interpreted as a sign of her having grown up a lot by some people. If that's actually the case, I don't know, hopefully it is.

If either of the two had the capacity to become a better person, it'd have been her. That ship sailed for Phillip long ago.

As somebody who looked at this for a week, do you think there’s weight at the theory of him having view bots to keep a minimum number of viewers?

No, I firmly believe he doesn't do such things. Any time there are viewbots, it's a ween/dentractor. The saddest part of all of this, is that at least 75% of those abysmal amounts of live viewers are people that dislike him and/or are typical nihilistic Zoomer types that want to make him dance like a monkey for their entertainment by actively engaging with him/his stream, usually by giving (small amounts of) money.

But as someone mentioned earlier: I think he genuinely doesn't care about the amount of viewers, as long as there are 2 or 3 viewers who are whiling to whale out. And 9 out of 10 times, they are.

I mean now it might be sad if he has a 50 viewer buffer still active but there was a long time when the view number would only dip below 1 number when he was getting kicked offline or when his stream ended.

I'm pretty sure that's down to the way live viewer numbers are counted/updated, and not because he buys 50 viewbots or something.

Phil's views have been garbage for a long time. Insert that graphic that shows Phil has like triple the ratio of money given to him than people who watch his channel compared to all other streamers. And that graphic is from at least a few years ago, it's significantly worse now.

Phil's entire existence is an anomaly.
