The old lore on OMM (one version, anyway) is that he tips directly to Phil's Paypal during break, and Phil checks his emails during break.
What we're supposed to get out of this is that Phil only checks his emails on breaks and then reports the tip without having to look when he returns.
He now also has started coming back from break and begging first, then reporting OMM's tip, which is part of his ongoing fixation on the idea that stalling on posting tips for even a couple of minutes might result in someone else tipping in the interim.
Again, he could fix all this by telling OMM to use the StreamElements link so there is a popup and transparency. But then Phil couldn't use them to scam. Sure enough, OMM's tip put Emil in a position to hit the second goal after break. This is the purpose for the scheduled announcement of OMM - to slingshot the second half of the stream to whatever the next goal level is.

Fairly simple reason behind it. He never records transactions (income and expenses) as they happen. Always waiting until the last minute to get his stuff together. No damn Enrolled Agent or Certified Public Accountant is wasting their time for bookkeeping a year's worth of transactions. I could give ways that Phil could save time, but we all know that he and his pay piggies lurk here.

If a professional isn't going to do it for him, he probably needs time to cook the books. Because I doubt he has a business account for his "true and honest business." So he's gonna fudge numbers since everything is ran through his normal account and prep them before handing them off to someone else to sign off on them.

Phil is a Schedule C, he couldn't cook the books even if he tried. Can't fudge income, because it's easily verifiable with 1099s from YouTube, PayPal, and Patreon. Expense wise really depends on the accountant who prepares the return. Some will let some expenses slide, but others will go by the book.

Just listened to yesterdays 'tax' excuse. Holy fuck what a tale. Small business - especially yours - are not much more difficult than personal. And someone recording your bank transactions does not in any way affect your taxes drama queen.

There's no doubt in my mind a true professional could easily catch his bullshit, but we're living in a world where his bankruptcy was signed off on, and no one appeared to question it (aside that one larping autist). So unless this is the year where the planets align and he fails his Luck check (and the IRS takes notice); I'm gonna assume he's taking this time to fuck around.

Yes, Phil just consooms. He never keeps track of any of his spending. When Phil says he is 'taking time to work on my taxes' he has said several times in the past that what he is actually doing is he prints out a transaction history for the entire year from his accounts and then sits there circling items he thinks are a "business expense". That's it. He then dumps all this garbage busy work he's done into a tax preparer's lap.

What I want to know is why OMM participates in this. He's not actually hiding anything if Phil keeps shouting him out, so why do it this way? Phil doesn't admit even in private to any arrangements, so it seems a case of a paypig doing something weird and his Gout Lord does what you can expect him to do. But you would think that after awhile, OMM would notice what we have, and at the very least, have some questions.
Doesn't he always tip $25, as well?
I think it also says enough about what lengths the pigroach doesn't go to with his taxes, the fact that he hasn't been able to afford them for years. He might actually be able to, if he were cheating Uncle Sam. As it is, it's my understanding he seems to be owing about what his real income would dictate. And I don't know what exemptions he would even try to claim to the IRS, to the degree he lied to the bankruptcy court at least.
I don't dare get my hopes up that he's claiming his gacha habit as a business expense, because if he is, oh boy...

And he REALLY needs to stop drudging up the bank leaks. He's not making things better by sticking with this "fraudulent charges" bullshit and reminding everybody of that moment in time, because way too many people who watch him, are onto his ass. Even if it doesn't mean he's engaging in any shenanigans with his taxes (again, I don't dare hope he's planning to basically tell the IRS he didn't make those transactions at all), it does mean he's up to SOMETHING. It does mean he's lying about why he's skipping some night streams. Even the retards know that shit.
I'm just floored at how Silly-Putty-For-Brains continues to so poorly handle the bank leaks. I really am. It's dumber than I thought he was.
