He's made himself unwatchable by spoiling everything and dragging his feet in all content so much so that it's habit now. But also #2 it would reinvigorate TIHYDP which was free advertising for him. The guides, handholding, and stalling he added in may have succeeded in destroying the decent TIHYDP which acted as advertisement but it also made his content incredibly boring. It's absolutely awful if you are watching a raw content with like 1 min of good fumble with 2 hours of stalling and being told exactly where to find and how to equip the most powerful shit in the game just for you to have to beat your head against the boss with. All the "This boss was easy for everyone (thus no guides for it really) but hard for me, and this boss was hard for everyone (thus overkill guides to follow) and easy for me!" is some of the least self aware shit he says. Everyone knows he is handheld and reads guides, he outs himself nonstop and reads chat aloud. Beating games in a day or two would mean that he moves through games quickly rather than months of being on the same 4 games until he gets one bad stream and has a withholders crashout then quits. DSP Tries It as a stream component is actual trash, because it is on a schedule. It's strange to say because its obvious to most of us, but to him this isn't something he thinks of. When you have a timeline for content, something that's done off the cuff and organic, you crush it into a box you just have to stall till its over. So you end up going back and scarfing the sandwich and talking with a full mouth to stall. Live audiences that he can see commentary of turn him into this insufferable asshole, because it's pretty normal to be offput by things like lip smacking. But I knew as soon as people started posting about it in chat that he would amp it up to 12, because that's what he always does. He resents being told he's wrong. Great, tank your own content bud. That'll work out right? Film it offline and organically when you eat with no timer. You're already taking a 3 hour break or whatever between streams, just stroll upstairs and munch, give your raw take, film it, throw it on the channel. It'll be way more entertaining without your Oppositional Defiance Disorder causing you to act caustic to the people you simultaneously want money from. I loved the Cooking with the King, because there was always something hilarious in it. Despite it being a massive W for content, he won't do it because he *perceives* people's commentary about it as an L. This is the internet, Phil. Any attention you're getting is potential money and a W. There's been a trend for a decade of shitty cooking online ON PURPOSE and it's extremely well monetized especially on Tiktok. Your oopsies as you learn basic adulting really aren't going to shock anyone but they are *genuine* so it will attract the attention you need to stay afloat. Ideally he needs to hide stream chat while he plays, just like the old days. Don't put the money counter on till the last hour when he just counts his contributions and does shoutouts, then log out for the night. Collapse both streams into one longer one and you'll get more done. Realize that variety streamer means you play just about any game, it doesn't mean variety across a week, it means period. Also, yeah maybe you're playing game A on Mon/Thurs, and game B on Tues/Fri but that's not a lot of variety when those playthroughs drag on MONTHS. A fiscal quarter of minecraft and like a dragon infinite wealth paired with flight sim is the most drab, soul crushing content I can imagine. Just fucking knock the game out. What you did with Doom TDA was perfect, and people stopped supporting because you were shitting on the game out of insecurity rather than just bashing your head through it and moving on. Shitting on games on a 1-2 hour prestream before playing is ANTI-ADVERTISEMENT dipshit. Finally, just accept that if you want your podcast to be a real thing, having daily episodes with no content is NOT helping. People only tune in for the same reason they did truck sim and no coffers, for the crashouts. Make your podcast once a week. Sometimes have a guest (and try having your mods on sometimes just to practice the skill of bouncing a topic back and forth). Make a list of topics to cover for that day, and no gameplay, just a 4 hour podcast, then 4 hour gameplay later of whatever game you're steamrolling. It takes time to build an audience. It will NOT come from the audience you currently have, and your audience size will grow as your skills grow. But your current audience is based on your current habits, which is why when you look at the "other channels your viewers watch" stats, it's all detractors. You're making the raw detractor content and not entertainment content currently.
