You could maybe make a case before that he is too dumb to know what he's doing, but definitely not since the resurgence. It's plain as day he knows now that his fans are retarded and he also knows that doing goals and pushing that every day is predatory toward them. He's said both of those things. It's not the worst thing in the world to do but it's pretty fucking shitty to grift specifically retarded people.
This is when it gets hard reading Phil, because I agree, I don't think he has any qualms with his e-begging "job". And he somehow has convinced himself that he at least lies constantly for justifiable reasons. But, then there's many times Phil is obviously and poorly putting on a show.
It's tricky to delineate between the two, and they often converge. Such is why Phil is an interesting lolcow for me.
Phail admits to lying. He told Craig a lie was an answer; he has said he lies about money because it's no one's business how much he has. Phail said he lies to protect his family. Unless he suffers some kind of punishment, Phail apparently sees nothing wrong with lying, and does often and casually.
Which is a lie itself since he makes his money issues everyone elses problem. If it's really no one business (which is true) then don't mention money in any way at all ever.
A whole ass book could be written citing every single retcon Dave has made throughout the years. Everything you mentioned falls back to: Dsp lacks self awareness and is a retard.

He isn't sympathetic, but being married to Kat is so bad I genuinely do feel sorry for him in that respect. Almost no man deserves that... Only truly malicious cruel people deserve Kat as a wife...
I think this is why he repeats the same complaints over about lag, unfair moves, etc. He isn't capable of comprehending that he is just basic as fuck, and anyone decent at the game can figure him out. They realize quickly that he can't counter certain moves, or that he does the same predictable combos, and they start stuffing him relentlessly and repeatedly using the thing he can't seem to do anything about. Like almost every other aspect of his life, Phil interprets this as cheating or the system being broken, but the truth is that he is actually retarded and can't understand why he is failing.
If not for a nude payoff it would be the precise playbook. constantly feigning illness or some sort of distress that can only cured by money. But they somehow toughed it out for you to be online “working”
