Bad relationships with their fathers. Daniel's dad was a work-o-holic and he was not close to him. His mother and him seem to have their differences too, so Daniel was basically raised by WOW and dubious advice on social media. Eliot Rodger has a similar situation where his parents divorced. And neither of them really gave him the sort of structure or foundation that turns kids into successful well adjusted adults. I don't like Eliot Rodger as an example though, he had a lot of red flags as a kid that he had a personality disorder. Eliot probably had BPD and his busy inept parents ignored it and just gave in to his every martial want to passify him from a young age and it continued as he got older. Eliot was also raised on WOW and due to his strong identity disturbance, a symptom of BPD, would lash out in anger easily. He couldn't create his own relationships with people because he was so accustomed to other people setting that up for him because that's part of how his mother coddled him for so long. Eliot's father was also a work-o-holic, which is a common family dynamic with Asian fathers in Asian countries, though Eliot's father was White. If there is any moral to be extracted from Eliot Rodger and Daniel Lord it is don't let your teenaged children play WOW, and esspecially don't let them play any MMORPG to the point of addiction.

I'm just checking in ive only seen tech reviews from Daniel lately and was wondering where he's living, and if he has a girl yet, and what's going on with him.

I know they're the easiest path of least resistance but Dan has got to diversify away more from these boring long faffing about streams. How many people other than hot girls are able to making long faffing about streams profitable long term? Okay so its dead easy and you have a small core group of fans that are willing to watch through and toss you a coin now and then but you end up boring and alienating everyone else. Take a tip from Johnny Somali, you got to do interesting things every once in awhile or failing that take a tip from DSP. Long streams should have some sort of direction unless you have some preternatural charisma or skill to fill up the time with something interesting on the spot.

Yeah there was a period a couple of years ago when he was in Japan (stalking his ex-wife) and was seeing an older woman who was often on stream. He was obviously having sex with her regularly despite having the Thai gf and some other white girl that was hanging around him. The older woman appeared to have money so it was likely transactional.

Daniel has had a really bad 2025, and might have given up on being a streamer.

At the beginning of 2025, Sunny, the girl he moved back to the UK to be with, broke up with him and filed a restraining order against him.

Then his YouTube channel pretty much died, so he started working as a delivery driver to pay rent.

In the middle of 2025 he managed to get a Kick partnership and was earning really good money for about 2 months. But then Kick detected that he was using bots to increase views, and they cut his pay.

Now he's making no money from YouTube or Kick so he needs a regular job. He's currently taking a break from streaming to go back to live at his mother's house for Xmas.

He's also dating a 20-year old girl while pretending to be a 26-year old stock trader called Jason. He had to delete his Instagram to hide his real identity from her, It's possible he's also hiding his YouTube channel because of that.
 
He's been off grid for awhile now and the haters are suffering from withdrawal pangs whether they want to admit it or not. Most high profile lolcows never seem to truly leave except through death. Not that Daniel fits the bill of high profile but kind of funny if he ends up being the guy who can kick the internet public humiliation drug.

The longest time ever? I was in the Discord but the instigator is a new girlfriend who doesn't like Youtube right?
 
Daniel had now completely disappeared from the internet

He has deactivated his main YouTube channel, his secondary game reviews channel, and his Kick channel.

Not clear what had caused this - could be related to his current relationship, or the restraining order filed by Sunny.

Fans have posted on his mother's YouTube channel asking what's going on, and she said (in a now deleted comment) he has moved to China. However, this doesn't really make logical sense, as Daniel has no money, no work prospects, and no interest in China. So it's suspected that this comment was posted by Daniel using his mother's account, to throw trolls off.
 
Someone speculated on Reddit that there's some kind of court order preventing him from being online but no idea what they're basing that on.
It's all very strange considering how he needs online attention constantly, it's a very long time for him to be offline.

The only other thing I could think of would be something related to recording a TV show, if there was some clause about being off social media. But that is just a guess based on nothing.

I could see Daniel moving to China. It's becoming more popular, and the pay for jobs like english teaching is apparently not terrible (compared to South Korea and Japan).
 
He's never been gone so long, the Discord is full of trannies and fatties and the Reddit is dead. The man has vanished like a fart in the wind.
