This is rather new, supposedly by that point he was no contact with Angelo - He's also never hinted at it before so this is a brand new lie and it was probably invented for us to try and bait mentions of him on public forums.
 
Remind me, when did he last see Angelo? He had an anniversary of it.

(Nevermind, it was Sunday 14 Oct 2001. If we take his words for it, there was only a short time window, between his birthday in August and that last day, when this assault could have happened -- but we know it is all moot because it is a lie anyway).

And this is like appropriation inception. A white, male Italian appropriating the Latino culture, and then, through that, appropriating the Jewish culture by reading the text in Spanish.
