Crime D4vd Arrested for Murder of Celeste Rivas - Groomer turned baby mama murderer finally gets comeuppance

Singer D4vd has been arrested for the murder of Celeste Rivas Hernandez, who was found dead in Hollywood in the trunk of his Tesla in September.

According to the LAPD, D4vd, whose real name is David Anthony Burke, was arrested by the Robbery-Homicide Division for the murder of Hernandez and is being held without bail. The case will be presented to the District Attorney’s office on Monday for filing consideration.

The Los Angeles Police Department confirmed they were investigating a trip the 21-year-old took to the Santa Barbara area sometime during the spring of 2025 following Hernandez’s death. A spokesman for the musician said in September that he was “fully cooperating with authorities,” though as of Nov. 18 NBC Los Angeles reported Burke was no longer cooperating with law enforcement.

Officers were called to a tow yard on Sept. 8 following reports of a foul odor coming from the car, which had been on the property for several days. Police found a dismembered body that had been placed inside of a bag in the front trunk of the vehicle.

The car was registered in Hempstead, Texas to Burke and impounded after being abandoned in the Hollywood Hills, where neighbors complained of a rotting smell. As of Sept. 9, the case was being treated as a death investigation.

Hernandez was reported missing from her home in Lake Elsinore, Calif., last year. She was last seen in April 2024, according to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department. After her body was found, police said that because a manner of death had not been determined.

Shortly after the discovery, Burke quietly canceled his U.S. tour and postponed the promotion of his deluxe album.

Are you saying there's no obvious crimes when someone finds a dead body in his abandoned car?
The problem is that since his car was impounded for a long while the argument can be made that the corpse just got stashed there by someone else who needed a hiding spot. The car abandonment he was already punished for with the impounding of his car, and unlike something like a roadside stop you can't necessarily assume the stuff in a car that's been impounded for a while is actually his. There isn't really any sort of lesser crime to hold him without bail for and they wouldn't be ready to go ahead with the full murder charge without further investigation.

I know that most posters are saying that the L.A.P.D were slow and incompetent on this case. But I believe they did this on purpose with this case.

Not to sound woke, but keep in mind that they would want to make sure thet had all their ducks lined up.

Here comes my woke and liberal belief on this case: You have a black musician (supposedly) being accused of murdering a girl. Who in the 90s had a somewhat similar case? OJ. Now we all knew he did it, but because they didn't have full hundred percent proof. The Afro Americans turned it into a racial thing. Even the black juries knew he did it but pack mentally kicked in.

Add that, and the Saint Georgy Floyd incident, and gods child named Rodney KANG? Its the perfect powder keg for the blacks to use excuse to kill and riot. So the P.D. knew that they had to have him dead to rights, no doubt that he killed that girl.

"Actually she died of an overdose and I got scared anxious and depressed and didn't know what to do. I needed time to unpack this and process my grief and trauma."

Also, can someone please put this picture in the OP

OJ was such a shitshow, the LAPD will do whatever it takes to avoid that happening again.

Another issue is the fact that the body was in the California heat for so long that it was impossible to tell the cause of death with the dismembered body. The drug overdose is a joke, but if she did die of a drug overdose, then the crimes would be related to dismembering and hiding her body, and who knows if that was him or his entourage.

You and I know that he did it, because he hid her rotten body in his car and stashed it in a junkyard.
No, they "stashed" it on an open public street .... it ended up in the yard when it got towed for being abandoned, on an OPEN PUBLIC STREET.

Im not saying the police were right or wrong, but the justice system can be very slow. There can be any number of reasons why they didnt arrest him till now. If they didnt have solid proof (you know, beyond a reasonable doubt?) That this nigger killed this spic, then there was nothing they could do. If the department was worried about 'optics', if the judge was reticient, if the case was murky because of the jurisdictions. It could be all of those things, none of those things, or different things that went wrong with the case, and DAs are more skittish these days, so theyd want an airtight case if theyre prosecuting capital murder.

They got him in the end. I don't mind them doing things properly pretrial, even if it is a bit slow. If he had successfully fled to Honduras or some shit, I'd be more mad but as things are, I don't really give a shit about this part of the process.

What I would actually care about is if he goes to trial and gets convicted and they sentence him to some bullshit nonsense slap on the wrist.

I do have some familiarity with the justice system through volunteering for Church run prisoner, and former prisoner, outreach/support programs like visiting prisoners who have no one else to visit them, or working with released prisoners trying to reintegrate into society.
Saying that you understand the start of the justice process because you volunteer with it’s end-product is like saying you know how to cook because you habitually eat shit.

Interrogation channels like JCS always confuse me because why the fuck would yoh EVER utter a single word to a cop while being interrogated? It's hilarious watching detectives say crap like "I just want to know the truth" or "I can't help you if you don't tell the truth" because it's so transparent what they're trying to do.
The first thing cops will do is read you your rights, the second they’ll do is try to convince you to waive them.
“I dunno man, we’re just talking here. Getting a lawyer involved makes it official”. Shit like that.
And it works pretty often because most suspects being questioned about murders they may have committed are both guilty and stupid.

In pedonigger’s case, there’s little doubt he’s guilty and he’s definitely stupid. The wealthy and connected have an entire gray market of people whose job it is to help with ‘legal problems’. Drugs, prostitution, ‘reputation conservation’ and more. It’s not that big a jump to abortions with hush money, disappearances, and in extremis, well, efficient body disposal is onerous but absolutely possible if you know what you’re doing.

There are 50,000 unsolved disappearances in the US each year and California is pretty much top of the league table, with 40,000+ cold cases on the books. Anyone have any doubt that a non-zero number of them are people who saw too much at a Pizza Party or got knocked up underage by someone with A Bright Future?

What the hell, I thought this thread was getting necroed. I didn't expect it took this long to arrest the nigger, though I probably should have.

I’m not trying to be racist, but when black people close off in interrogations, they adopt a sort of “Teflon” logic that I only see black people be able to pull off. It’s basically pleading the 5th but due to retardation.

Have you seen the way some village "courts" in Africa work? They do some shit like if you pass through these two bushels of tall grass, you are guilty of the crime and if the grass holds you God and nature has given us a sign that you are guilty. That may be the two tiered justice system we need.

does the "NO-BAIL" actually means he is being held with no bail or they haven't decided whether or not they should give him one so they are using it as a place holder?
"No bail" means he's not eligible for pre-arraignment release and needs to wait for a judge to review the case.
He can't post bail to get let out in the mean time.
This could change after pre-arraignment if the judge determines he somehow isn't a threat to the community or isn't a flight risk.
Felony murder bail amount is typically $1-$2 million under the PARP system or he'll remain not-bailable if it was "murder with special circumstances."

This guy was plastered all over TikTok and Instagram. After his shitty song made it into the Invincible soundtrack the radio stations and streaming sites couldn't stop shilling him. Glad to see once again MSM picks the right rising star.

I mean the LAPD has fucked it with celeb cases before, it's probably better they didn't rush for the obvious easy slam dunk win considering the shit they've fumbled like the OJ case.
