"Current year" terms that piss you off

One thing I've noticed is that all 3 of the major shit trends in the past 20 years have "social" in them, and rather ironically.

"Social media" in the '00s.

"Social justice" in the 2010s.

"Social distancing" in 2020.

So any new shit trend that appears in the next 10 or so years will likely begin with "social" as well.
This is one of those pattern recognition things they teach you in public school right? Like a:b as f:g or a:b b:c c:d

Itll probably be "social cleansing". Hope Im on the right side of history for that one. The fascists are comin' boys! The boys are back in town!

It's more of a meme, but "(adjective) (adjective/noun) noises" really annoy me.

The term "MAP." It's too soft. They're not "Minor Attracted People," they're degenerate pedophiles and they deserve to be lined up against a wall. Stop sugar-coating it.

I’m pretty sure this counts but, “This is just like (insert media here)” sounds really childish and demeaning. It’s just silly imo.

"Brown people"

White leftists lump Latinos, Middle Easterners, Indians, lighter-skinned blacks together as one entity. I don't know if anyone who actually has brown skin identifies as a "brown person". It just sounds ridiculous. If a right-winger said "brown people" in a completely non-derogatory context, they'd be labeled "racist" by leftists, but it's okay leftists say it and lump them all together into a homogenized blob. Same when white leftists call rap/hip-hop "black music"; if a conservative said that, they'd never hear the end of it.

I don’t think the people that use this term would really like to admit it, but “comfort character” is pretty much newspeak for waifu.
Seems to be a kind of waifu for when someone needs comfort.
Anything core. Kidcore.
Metalcore is pretty cool.
Back in my day, core was something you added to music genres. Some were repulsive like crunkcore. Some were batshit insane sample mixes like Breakcore.
Ableist, because I can't even say the word "retard" without some 15 yro twitter user with the pride flag as their banner screeching at me.
Ableist has legit uses. People who don't give a damn about disabled people have tainted it, sadly. They want disabilities, both mental and physical, to be little labels for a Twitter bio. If any of these people had to live a day with something like a severe lupus flareup, they'd kill themselves.
"Lowkey", ever since people started using it I can't figure out what the fuck it means, and it sounds like it was made by a 14 yro black girl on Tiktok, so now I hate it even more
Lowkey means low profile. Saw it in use back in 2015.

"Phobic" to describe criticizing the sacred cows of Wokeism (homophobic, transphobic, Islamophobic, fatphobic). A phobia is an irrational, debilitating fear. People who get smeared as "phobic" are not literally shaking at the thought of whatever they're criticizing or not sufficiently flattering.

"Special Snowflake" and people say this as an insult, unironically, make up better insults why don't you. And other insults that the Left and right coined in.

When they use "them" as a neutral pronoun. I keep getting confused and thinking they're talking about more than one person. I'd rather they use it.

"Folx"

The word folks is already inclusive, adding the X is obnoxious and performative as fuck and people only do it to show everyone how extra special and inclusive and woke they are.

Wait I just had a revelation, to be inclusive you just need to put an x in it. I can finally say nigger in public, I just have to make sure to say niggerx and I shall be absolved. I beat the system guys.

"Poggers"

What the fuck does that mean? It sounds like poppers which is a drug used by homosexuals back then.

It's the 'written version' of this Pepe emote here; if I'm not mistaken it originated on Twitch:

The original meaning was to show huge excitement about something. I'm not sure if that's how it's still used.
