She's not in some sex trafficking ring and if she had been, she'd be dead by now.

I actually think the West Memphis Three didn't do it, but I now agree with people who say Damien Echols was eventually gonna do something like that. Good thing he had enough of an ego to think he could get away with edgelording in court and might be the first guy in history to have been locked up before anyone actually got hurt.
After watching Paradise Lost(s) I have a completely random irrational belief that wayyy more people than we're led to believe fucked up the crime scene ("Hey other kids, wanna see these dead bodies?") Yes I am racist against small village culture.

The West Memphis Three lost two separate jury trials combined and are still adjudicated guilty to this day in the state of Arkansas. Go look through Damien’s own introduced medical files for sentencing to see how disturbed he was/is he admitted he was homicidal. The fact that the stepfather is weird isn’t surprising, given that they were all white trash and unsophisticated, agreeing to appear in those “documentaries.” The odds of the filmmakers finding an oddball to pin it on, associated with the victims, was approaching 100% and if they couldn’t find a friend or family member, then the whole town of West Memphis certainly would’ve produced at least a single suspect to spotlight as the real killer. That was the whole point of those films you can’t get them out of prison without also providing an alternative suspect. Trials are largely built on narratives, the films provided a story that the more sophisticated HBO audience was going to find alluring three poor teenagers who liked heavy metal and satanism railroaded by a bunch of stupid religious southerners. From there, it was only a matter of time until celebrities got involved and blew the whole thing up. It wasn’t about the evidence anymore, but about the cause.

The other thing as well is that if you have spent a lot of time around white trash the step-dad is skeezy, but he's typical white trash skeezy, not "sodomize a 13 year old boy and then cut off the kid's cock and balls before beating him and his two friends to death with a stick" skeezy.

There are degrees to this sort of thing. Could I believe the step-dad capable of murdering someone? Absolutely. Could I believe him capable of murdering a child? Maybe, possibly. Could I believe that he would murder three children in the way those three boys were murdered? No.
 
Having been using the internet since the last century, I have seen some shit in my time browsing it. Still, some things hit you differently. I watched Paradise Lost and in the beginning you see the poor young victims, the actual footage taken when they were discovered. Absolutely broke my heart, what ever they saw or did, they did not deserve to be violated like that. Rarely true crime makes me emotional anymore but that I really struggled to keep watching.

And if you want to be even more disgusted by it remember that the people who made that film did so with the express intention of garnering public sympathy for those boys' muderers so that they could be freed from prison.

I think the allegations that he sexually abused Stevie could be true.

Also, his DNA being found on the crime scene.
