Who would say no to Shinichiro Watanabe though? It was probably a critical hit over there, but there were those issues with the original broadcast that got it canceled and put on a different channel. I've never heard of them having cafes for it, pics?Cowboy Bebop is very well liked in Japan. It continues to get support and merch to this very day. Everything from themed cafes, rebroadcasts of the TV series to being included in Super Robot Wars amongst other fan favorite franchises like Gundam and Mazinger Z. The idea that only America likes Cowboy Bebop is beyond retardéd. The Cowboy Bebop movie literally premiered in Japan at the same time Bebop first started being broadcasted in America. In case you didn't know, companies don't make full length theatrical movies for unpopular franchises.
