Honestly, I’ve felt that this trucker protest can be something, and that the memes salt from places like Reddit are pretty funny, but as things go on, when the hammer goes down, and you realize how much the left and progressives hate these people and their supporters and anyone who isn’t in complete lockstep with them, it’s to get pretty defeated. At a certain point, you gotta find something to keep your time here from being nothing but morbid posts.
Just assume that there’s a real “ completely with us or against us” mentality.

As someone who isn't "the left" or "progressive" but certainly pro-vaccine and even supportive of vaccine-mandates (but also tighter borders to keep out pathogens in the first place, such as vaccine-requirements for visitors for other diseases such as measles), the reason why the truckers (who are only a minority of overall truckers, the vast majority of whom are vaccinated; where are all the Sikhs/Punjabis at the protests?) are "hated" is because they are shitting up the economy of their own country with their thoughtless selfish behaviour and generally piss regular working people off by blocking off roads and creating unnecessary pollution (including noise) within cities.

Considering the thread I come from I'm obviously not the biggest fan of the level of political fruitery or the gay bombardments certain kiwis like to throw as if they're constantly PMS, however the general premise is fun so here's something we can all enjoy regardless of our differing opinions.
After Null's recent ravings about "nigs" and "brain magnetism" I looked up the study he linked and found my way to this article which I think is pretty funny:
tl;dr The Covid vaccines have magnetic properties which could be part of a massive scheme to make you atheist.
The article goes to great lengths to detail several other things like DARPA funding research into examining and influencing people's brains, etc. but for the life of me I can't find anything remotely relating to "the vaccinated" aside from the earlier line about how the Covid vaccine supposedly has "magnetic properties". It references DARPA being involved in vaccine companies, yeah, but again the entire article is directly hinting at the vax making people atheist by eroding/influencing their prefrontal cortex or something.
The article ends with this:
The deceptive tactic of using the pandemic to make a vaccine which can, through magnetism, make you inclined to atheism? Look, I love my fellow Christians but a lot of us can be...spiritually sensitive, let's say, and this whole article seems like that. The author is probably the kind of person who feels the need to pray over their computer if they scroll by a trailer for a demonic horror movie. I'm sure they mean well but they gotta disconnect from all this a bit before they end up with some kind of schizophrenia.
Anyway, just make sure to keep the magnets away from you and don't get the vaccine otherwise you'll start loving Blacks and hating Jesus I guess.

Brutal but good point. However you're forgetting the side that says both sides are the same and, therefore, there's no use in thinking about the meteor since nothing matters or it's all a simulation or something. Antagonism is ridiculous but apathy is the worst.

Good premise, I can see it being an argument about God will protect us if we pray hard enough and that the physicists are wrong and that you have to be some fucking idiot for trusting the science. It is also a power grab by the government to take away your rights. You know what it would be the exact same arguments that is happening with covid right now.

Night time Twitch Trucker shenanigans. The Police have come in and very gently (by comparison to the US) pushed the crowd into position until they had fences set up around Parliament and then retreated behind these new fences, leaving the protesters walled out. Earlier, the police got organized and cleared out the stage, PA, bouncy houses, food tents and beer trucks, so now there's nothing to do.
Where there were a couple thousand, it's now down to about 200. Half of the people left now are either hardcore Qanon or bantam weight Sovereign citizens. The other half all seem to be new or small live streamers each looking to cash in on the popularity. Most of the people you see walking around on the streams are also holding a mobile streaming rig.
But it's not as fun now that there isn't the beer tent, Cornhole pitch, Hockey field, bouncy houses and live music stage. This, coupled with the police organization and removal of all the Semi Trucks, has people going home since apparently the party is over and to stay would be an inconvenience for their freedom.

It's not really about the mandates anyways that was just the angle they went with, When you look into the people in charge of running these protests 6/7 of them are not even truckers they are right-wing political loons who have ties to a bunch of other unrelated orgs. Even if the government fully caved in and removed mandates they would be pushing for other shit that has nothing to do with covid or vaccines.
