(L/A)
It's officially a St. Patrick's Day party at the White House ... Conor McGregor's arrived!!

The UFC superstar -- and arguably Ireland's most famous native -- hit up 1600 Pennsylvania Ave. on Monday morning to celebrate his nation's big day ... and Donald Trump and Co. welcomed him with open arms.

The 36-year-old fighter fielded some questions from media inside the building's press briefing room ... before he filmed a fun video that White House officials threw up on their X page.

Conor, of course, rocked green for the occasion ... pulling out a three-piece suit that paid some serious homage to the holiday. He buzzed his head and shaved his signature beard for the trip, too.

No images of McGregor and Trump have surfaced just yet ... but we're sure it'll be a love affair whenever they do come face-to-face -- as Trump just called him his favorite Irishman last week.

"He's got the best tattoos I've ever seen!" the president said.

Monday blues are out ... green's clearly all the rage in D.C. today -- happy St. Paddy's!!!

Is he popular with Irish-Americans? If so having him visit is maybe not the worst move for Trump, I guess.

I think the appeal to Trump is that he is a well-known European who is willing to go after a european government over immigration. The European governments tend to go after Trump politically and Trump spotlights people like him in retaliation.

I think he's literally the only other famous Irishman he knows that isn't Bono

I like him, but I'm sure the most famous still living has to be either Colin Farrell or that one girl with the name I can't pronounce and I am just realising I can't write either who's also American.
Sinead O'Connor is dead if that's who you might be thinking of. I have no clue who the famous Irish-American girl with a hard to pronounce name could be tbh.

I kinda understood this is where we were going when corporate and mainstream and accredited media and Hollywood started losing its power and influence but I don't think I was emotionally ready for E-celeb and wrestling based celebrity politics.
I just try to think of it like Metal Gear Rising.

Metal Gear Solid 2 accurately predicted the last quarter century of class-based information warfare before it happened, but people didn't notice or care because it was too subdued and most gamers are too dumb and ADD. So they made the exact same game but made the messaging too over the top and on the nose to ignore and now players still don't care or understand the gravity of it but they understand what's going on because they made it impossible not to.

Likewise, modern American politics has always been pro wrestling, but a lot of people were too dumb or ADD to notice, so now they're pushing the absurdity to hyperbolic extremes so people can't ignore it anymore.

I don't know if it's intentional but it's working.

McGregor is the epitome of a white nigger. A violent cocaine addicted serial adulterer who will stick his dick into anything remotely female, whether she consents to it or not, and who is obsessed with the most tasteless showings of wealth imaginable.

Back home he's utterly despised by literally everyone except for the lowliest of knackers and townie street scum, there's plenty of stories of him wandering around Dublin with his entourage of druggies and security, crashing student parties, getting handsy with young girls, and getting violent towards any lads that try and stop him, all the while his wife and kids are back on his yacht in Dubai.

It genuinely makes me MATI that this subhuman is regarded by anyone as a representative of my country and race.
Definitely feel the same way. I was drinking with a colleague of mine a few months ago and he went on a rant about how growing up in the inner city 10 years ago, McGregor was quite inspiring to him and people he knew because of where he came from and the success he got, but now he is an embarrassing stereotype and rapist who is the worst possible brand ambassador we could have. At the time it sounded a little awkward, but especially since the civil suit verdict has continued to come back to me.
