Comicsgate Hangers-On and Drama Whores - A thread about some guy who's mad about Star Wars and the neckbeards obsessively stalking him

This is like a boomer joke from a year and a half ago, way before "boomer" was even a stale meme.

Ethan made off with nearly a million dollars, dragged his feet constantly all year long, still hasn't fulfilled initial orders...
...His IGG campaigns are full of breach-of-service complaints...
...Members of his troll army is being sued for actual real-world stalking, intimidation and harassment...
...He and people he's associated with are being investigated for RICO (basically laundering money through IGG)...
...And top it off he's a huge lolcow who spergs out constantly and has a messianic complex that rivals Goddess Christine Chandler.

All this is going on and building to a head for a year, but some of you guys are still stuck in Spring 2017 laughing at Rose Tico jokes.
Is this KiwiFarms or Reddit?
Like I said in the other thread, where do you think we are?

This is not 8chan /cow/ or /baph/, this is Kiwifarms. we laugh at reetards, pro or anti-comicsgate, I'll laugh at them. I laughed at the idiot who was sperging the fuck out for not able to flip comicsgate books, I laugh at Ethan's feeble attempts to show he's not butthurt with the criticisms of his crowdfunding books. I laughed at Richard's cringey Jawbreakers, I laugh at the idiots and retards that donated money to all these crowdfunding books, because back in my days, if you are truly passionate about making comic books, you bootstrap yourself and earn money to print them.

Now, since Ethan will launch another campaign for a new cyberfrog, and if it reaches its goal and pass it, I'll laugh at the stupidity of these people who never learn despite being burned badly.

The work stands on it's own. It's beautiful. There's no convincing me or anyone who sees it otherwise.

I enjoy watching the same losers cry over it. There ISN'T another crowdfunded comic like CYBERFROG. It's heads and shoulders above anything that's come out yet, in a world in which STARBLADES has yet to see print.

The next issue is already underway, and it's even better than the first.

If I paid $1.37 for printing the insides of this, it's literally the greatest bargain mankind has ever known.

Pray for CYBERFROG 2. Get your tissues out.

I sleep and wake up to this shit?? Weird flex and this is not /ic/ but ok....

Lazy background trees for photoshop.png
Strong light luminosity enough for specular reflection on the girl's skin, but apparently not enough to illuminate the area to see the details on the lazy background trees for photoshop.png 🤔
Strong enough lightsource to illuminate them all, but apparently not enough for the big guy to cast shadow on the two🤔
Light sources and the shading do not add up
That's not how reflection works (frog's shoulder pads)
Again, the linear decay of light should not stop abruptly

what's wrong with her arm?
also, lazy water effects photoshop.png

5/10.... no doubt you'll get reetards to cum on your art and claim its the best art, but yeah, average art with so many stupid beginner mistakes. No doubt that's the reason you always get put in shitty D-list books back in DC and work with Gail Simone

lazy and shitty page-filling panelling to waste pages. 0/10

It's a hugely complicated money laundering scheme, in which Al Qaeda gives 10,000 comic book fans $25 cash to back a Cyberfrog IndieGoGo campaign.

I draw an intricately detailed comic book for ten months, print and distribute it, and then spend the leftover money on Game Stop gift certificates, which I gift back to Al Qaeda. Al Qaeda then deploys hundreds of Ma'ams to Game Stop to refund them.

The RICO case is rock solid, but it'll take the FBI ages to work it out.

I hope it dies.

Dude, drop the amount of details and pay attention to basics, like light sources and it will make your art better, not rendering every single strand of coiffed head. Also that blue's face is retardéd. Learn how to render 3D objects better nand avoid those ygly tangents with the panel gutters.
It makes me think you really wanted to draw and you learned by copying pieces of work you liked, but you didn't learn from basics building up your skills and now you're using shit tonne of details to mask your shotcomings, because it looks busy. No wonder you're so slow when you spend time on busy work.

You know, that black is actually your friend in comics, right?

Jesus fucking Christ.

Don't ever do that again.

I’m not impressed by it I brought cyberfrog but this page looks busy. You really
Need to learn to edit or hire someone to proof read. It doesn’t make you less of a artist to just have a separate pair of eyes. It also might help your time management problems because instead of adding everything etc it stream lines it. Now will I but cf 2 nope so do whatever.

Time management, maybe less space devoted to emptiness in the books, and a higher quality paper that can hold the inkload more effectively.

Fix those three for the next campaigns, and you're good. Like I said, I still really like the metal cover, just wish it was less bendy.

Why does EVS give Wart the Wizard air time when there are much better CG creators who get ignored? First he wanted people to buy that awful looking Solo book and now the cringey kindergarten drawn "kids" book. CG is better than this.

actually, anybody could have gotten on his live to plug their project last night. The stream lab link was open in his chat at several times during the stream.

I invited anyone to come on board to either argue with me or promote their projects, or just say Merry Christmas to ComicsGate. It worked out pretty well, and I'll probably do it again. Say what you want about Mandy's project, but people were happy she was there last night. She's popular on YouTube. I think she got two or three new backers.

I think that was awesome of you to do that. For people just getting into crowdfunding, its really hard to market their project to a wider audience that may not know they are. Especially, if their social media platform is small.

I will admit I have no interest in her works to be honest; they just don't look worth the stupid high price she asks for it. But then I didn't and still don't back Ironsights, because I didn't think it matched the pricetage either.

I dont pay 25 bucks for black and white comics. It kind of feels like i'm getting jipped.

The whole $25 is ridiculous anyways for any book less than 100+ pages of actual story and then you add in the asinine shipping costs. Now it's $35.
Also if I hear but "they are popular on YouTube" again I will throw up. Fuck YouTube presence, that doesn't make up for lack of artistic skill and storytelling. Also maybe if they got away from YouTube and work on their actual comics there wouldn't be all of these late books.

The mainstream gatekeeps ComicsGate from regulation promotion and distribution outlets.

This is the MAIN problem. It's not about lateness or not enough books being generated, or even price. People are paying the price tag for these comics.

Without YouTube, or other social media outlets to market these comics, there is no reason to produce them. If we aren't talking about our books constantly to as wide an audience as possible, nobody will order them.

So it's a balance between staying plugged in to your customer base through social media, and producing work faster. But YouTube presence is extremely important.

I gotta disagree. Lateness is just as a big problem as the mainstream and it gives detractors ammo to use against CG. Lateness, will also impact the amount of return customers you Get for your next project and hurt any goodwill that you have generated during your campaign.
