That shit was pure college football. Endzone QB fumble into a TD, refs spotting shit weird, QB playing on one leg, some Japanese dude at K who just wandered onto the team but is good.

I wonder if the new business model is going to finally lead to SEC men's soccer. For many years D1 men's soccer hasn't been a thing (though women's soccer is) mostly because of Title IX requirements; football being men's only means you have to have women's only sports to make the whole thing work legally and thus men's soccer wasn't legally viable without sacrificing a sport that Americans actually care about. Now though you've got a situation where you have a semipopular pro league with no farm system, you have all these institutions with all the infrastructure to make it happen, and somebody on the outside can actually do the player paying.

I'm not under some kind of delusion that soccer is going to become popular in SEC country but think about it, Tennessee is already gay you can just see them running around the pitch in bright orange. And it would be cool if America could develop some players and be relevant at the world cup again.

The US already has a huge non-college farm system and soccer is a popular college sport everywhere outside of the south already. I don't think the college system, even at its best, will have much success luring players away from the academies and then going to Europe at 16 or 17. It might take on more washouts from that system though.

You can buy an HD antenna from Amazon for around $30 and you'll get Fox, NBC, CBS, ABC, the CW, and assorted other channels over the air. You won't get any of the ESPNs or FS1 but it's a cheap stopgap.

I pirate everything I can, and would be fine watching it on Streameast in my study. Have 2 others in the house who watch in a different room, so I have to be able to make sure they can watch as well.
