I dont think they'll lose they're gonna buy their way out of it or get an exemption like nfl and mlb have. SEC fucked up big by pushing for NIL they have under the table car dealership money B1G has large financial institution money and now that its legal theyre gonna spend big

I feel that’s only going to happen if the SEC and the Big 10 (or at the very least the marquee programs after they get tired of giving the smaller programs like Vanderbilt, Mississippi State, Purdue, and Illinois their table scraps in how TV money is distributed) finally manage to breakaway from the NCAA and create their own football entity (and then the question becomes if they’re able to get a hold of other schools, oversee other sports, gain a hold of trademarks like March Madness, and just leave the NCAA as a husk on life support controlling one bid D1 leagues, FCS programs, D2 and D3 schools that nobody cares about).

If you look at the Big Ten they dominate a fair amount of smaller sports in attendance and performance. Women's Volleyball, men's wrestling, threatening to do it in hockey and lacrosse too. The SEC dominates in baseball and softball. There's no incentive for those leagues to break apart in them even without the NCAA.

Maybe the western schools, who don't even sponsor most of the northern sports, get to break off for non-revenue sports but that is it. Otherwise all of those big schoools actively like playing eachother and have been doing so for, in the Big Ten's case, well over 100 years.

Depends on the sport. Water polo and weightlifting are probably dead if they have to pay student athletes. I doubt anyone really cares to save them.

Weightlifting is not an NCAA sport and is not covered by House. Tennis is actually stronger in the south due to it being a spring sport.
