A solid 3. Better than a lot of the movies I've seen in theatre recently, but not by much. It's not Marvel Shit.
The CGI and effects were truly bad. They hyped up how realistic the bear looked. Not really a spoiler, but the bear and the cubs looked bad. Any crackpipe with processing power could do better in Blender. The same death scene, aka the offscreen drag, got rehashed a lot. Some of the deaths are entertaining and creative while others are boring.
But it does suceed in creating an 'anyone and everyone is gonna die' atmosphere, if that's what you want. Very Final Destination-esque at some points.
Plot wise, there's a fair bit going on. Ray Liotta (with a gay white dude and Ice Cube Jr.) searches for his coke while a mom is trying to find her daughter; all while there's an ambulance trying to rescue a ranger and a background hiker couple. It ends rather abruptly,
Acting wise, Ray Liotta is Ray Liotta, a gift to the world. They have Ice Cube Jr. and a black cop which act pretty well. The blonde child actor and the mom aren't too bad either. There's occasional cheese and corn scene, and it's a little weird paced at first, but it's a pretty okay experience. It's fun and gimmicky and unrealistic, but that's the point.
