Culture Christmas Season started early in Germany - Bomb diffused at Potsdam Christmas Market.

I couldn't find an english article, but the Christmas Market was evacuated after a "suspicious object" was found, that turned out to be a bomb.

A package was delivered to a pharmacy, when the clerk opened it, he saw wires and called the cops.
According to the police, inside the package they found a cylindrical object and a lot of nails...

I'll update as more info becomes available.

We'll have to wait to find out, I guess.

Also, when I say it used a polish firecracker, it sounds somewhat harmless, but that's basically like saying it's low-yield dynamite. In the eastern parts of Germany, they are known as rather efficient hand-removal equippement.
Can't find a decent video, but depending on the size, they are very well capable of killing someone.
Thanks for the clarification, I assumed it really was a toy firecracker like you'd buy for July 4th.

Oh, Germany.

Do they actually use high explosive, or is it like calling an m80 a quarter stick? Because low explosives can't even compare to actual hi ex if you've ever seen it in action.

As I said, these things are nasty.
Not really en par with "real" explosives, but certainly destructive enough to cause serious injury or even death in its vincinity.

Yeah, they're pretty gnarly. Big ass m80s pack a whole lot of black/flash powder and can get the job done.
I've felt a small ground tremor from a standard M67 frag grenade thrown into a bunker standing roughly 500m away from it. High explosives are no fucking joke.

Small update:
There was another package containing some sort of grenade, this time send to the thuringian state chancellery.

As it turns out, someone is trying to extort money from DHL.

In order to reflect this new information, the poll has been edited.
