To be completely honest, as unhinged as Chloe was, I do feel pity for her. She was too far gone and the mental health system in America is atrocious, so doubtful it could have helped her in any meaningful capacity. From what I can gather, a lot of Chloe's issues were of her own making (in large part due to her mental illness), but it's still sad in some respects.

Troons owe the world an apology for selling the quackery that no matter what a person's actual problems are, irreversible surgery is the solution 100% of the time no matter what actual doctors say. There was also more than a touch of paranoia preventing her from actually seeking out the help she needed.

Also, as reprehensible as Brianna Wu is on many levels, this wasn't Wu's fault, either.

I never really followed Chloe or her drama, but wow. Sounds like another shed princess situation where a deeply mentally ill person finally succumbs to their illness. From the sounds of it she was fucked up, but at least not as abhorrent as someone like Laurelai Bailey or Sarah Nyberg.

Uh no. She was messy and prone to tantrums and destroying stuff, but she never sexually assaulted anyone. I dated her for two years and it got kind of awful near the end. Awful enough where I realized the support I could provide was not enough for her and she needed more. I still think she is one of the most brilliant people I have ever had the pleasure of sharing time with, but it was just buried under all this neurosis that all the love I had for her couldn't penetrate.

Mock me all you want, but I did genuinely love her.

I think there's three things we should all take away from this.

1. Chloe's death is a tragic reminder as to the importance of mental health care reform in the USA.
This is someone who needed help for years and didn't get it.

2. Chloe did more legitimate activism for what she actually cared about with this one action than most of the Rat King will do in their entire lives.

3. Chloe was fucking hardcore. Jesus.

Chloe started a GFM for money to travel somewhere unnamed supposedly getting medical care.

$0 of $675 goal

Medical care where I am at is inadaquate to handle and deal with the issues I struggle with. I need to go to the place that does have it. I need a passport and money for travel. idk what i'm going to do about the medical expenses but i just want to get there first. Please help, I am literally at the end
