They want to fire a war on two fronts it seems. Are the notoriously risk-averse (to put it nicely) Americans actually going to get involved in Taiwan if anything pops off? Before an election year? I highly doubt it.

Pandas are fucking retarded. Just display grizzlies instead. Zoos need to stop simping for foreign animals and show how fucking terrifying American wildlife can be. At least then we'd get interesting stories about dip shits who snuck into the bear exhibit getting brutally mauled every few years.fe275d1c99b87e463e8d82e57efb4de4.mp4
If China is taking back it's pandas that's a rather significant move. Didnt Biden just go over there to smooth over relations?
wait I was mistaken. the meeting hasn't happened yet and it's in San Fran
Makes sense if you look at TaiwanWith Biden managing to fuck up ukraine with the whole backing of NATO, Taiwan is being protected by the most pozzed military branch in NATO.
Coercion and aggression are perfectly valid strategies for improving your strategic position to me. I think territory should go to the strongest, especially when it's so strategically important for China and basically irrelevant for the smaller powers that rim the SCS. To me, it's pretty based when countries recall their true nature and upset the established system. Not exactly Taiwan, but more China fuckery in the South China Sea (which will come into play if US-China conflict erupts):

tl;dr Chinese Coast Guard boats keep fucking with resupply vessels for a disputed reef outpost manned by Filipino Marines. China wants to claim the reef and dump landfill to make another artificial island aka military radar station/airfield/anti-ship missile base. They (China) already lost arbitration in front of the United Nations for this particular reef, so they've been trying to bully the Flips off it and just plant their flag anyway.
There's nothing "based" about war or aggression. The international community rejected offensive war as legitimate part of diplomacy because nobody wanted to get dragged into regional or global wars that costed millions of lives ever again. There is nothing to be gained by anyone from China trying to upset the established the international status quo.Coercion and aggression are perfectly valid strategies for improving your strategic position to me. This isn't war though, it's just bullying. Filipines aren't going to declare war on China over a reef they only care about because the yanks tell them to deny China positions it could use to defend itself from foreign aggression. There's nothing "based" about war or aggression. Its not war yet, but this kind of brinksmanship can very easily cascade to war. Which is why nations generally repudiated such actions in favor of international arbitration. This isn't about China resisting "foreign aggression", this is about a larger power attempting to bully a weaker one. This isn't war though, it's just bullying. And there is plenty to be gained for just about everyone from China overturning the western hegemony.
Coercion is a continuously used strategy by all major powers, and often without serious near-term consequences that affect real balance-of-power calculation. Russia uses it, China uses it, the US uses it, France used it until recently. The whole point is to get what you want, when you want it, for cheaper than a war but in a riskier way than some imaginary peaceful negotiation. The SCS is China's littoral until someone else feels like building a navy for fighting in that area. The US cannot influence that conflict meaningfully, FONOPS and long-term attempts at fucking China's position as export king are about all the US can commit to as tactics without creating a much worse conflict, which they simply won't do if they can help it, not with retard joe drooling at the helm. The international status quo does not benefit the ruling elite of a country with a powerful military to their liking, they're going to buck. The flips and the rest of ASEAN are on their own. There's nothing "based" about war or aggression. The coercion used in modern politics is usually discreet, and is either economic or political in nature. Overt brinksmanship is avoided.Coercion is a continuously used strategy by all major powers, and often without serious near-term consequences that affect real balance-of-power calculation. The U.S. very much can influence the conflict meaningfully. Its why China is trying to claim the South China Sea in the first place; to nullify America's naval advantage and render its alliance structure moot. The SCS is China's littoral until someone else feels like building a navy for fighting in that area. The US cannot influence that conflict meaningfully,
This completely flies in the face of reality and America's strategic thinking over the last 15 years. America has been pivoting towards Asia, and countering China, for awhile now, including reopening American bases in the Philippines that had been closed for over a decade, and strengthening its military and diplomatic ties with China's very worried neighbors. The flips and the rest of ASEAN are on their own.
Yes there is. Its called Mutually Assured Destruction. There's no law that's binding to a country with nukes, which is the basic and overarching rule of the international community.
The only thing China's actions will do will be to drive the Philippines more and more into the arms of the United States, after they wavered on supporting the U.S. under their previous President.China's going to use the coercive options it has, because it values the territory enough to humiliate a trading partner that's on the fence between them and the US in terms of its medium term security guarantor.
The international status quo will hold for as long as the United States is willing to enforce it, and you damn well should hope it does, unless you want to return to a world where the planet is engulfed in huge devastating wars every few years. The established international status quo is not going to hold up forever, nor should it, because it is not satisfying to all big boy countries.

I do hope they don't blockade China until after Christmas, I'll be annoyed of my random bits don't arrive. The only reason Australia would need US Nuclear submarines is if they need to loiter indefinetely. Therefore the only possible conclusion you can come to is US is planning a future blockade of China. So China has to close the sea gaps in their defenses, so the US doesn't get free reign in this scenario
Everything's moving to Vietnam and India so you don't really need to worry.I do hope they don't blockade China until after Christmas, I'll be annoyed of my random bits don't arrive.
You know, I'm starting to think China is a big soppy vagina. It can't even find the testosterone to conquer Taiwan when the US president is a mindless undead thing and 75% of the US military's officer corps are pozloaded furries (95% of those ranked OF-6 and above). I mean come on Xinnie do you think your chances are gonna get better when the God-Emperor is back in 14 months?
