quick update: been working a lot on my guitars lately, but the survival knife sheath is pretty much done. Just gotta stitch it together and add the D-ring at the tip.

I'll post 360 degree pics after stitching+edge finishing, but here it is assembled:



Same with the walnut colored machete/bowie...just need to stitch the bottom row. Finally found chicago screws that look good and fit this project:

I'm no leather worker, but could you salvage leather from other shit? Like thrift store purses or something? I've salvaged wood and electric parts from stuff people are throwing away many times. Consider keeping an eye out, people are probably regularly throwing away recyclable leather you could fuck around with for fun/practice.

I've done that with leather from furniture. Drive around a white neighborhood on trash day, you'll find something. College areas during move out week will also yield good shit.

Sorry I haven't updated this in awhile. I had my drill break and took the time to take a break from the hobby until I got a new one. In the interim I got back into 40k painting. I just have so much free time on my hands, it's REALLY hard to focus on just one hobby. I am not complaining though, I wish I could share with someone who needs some spare time lol

I promise I will update this thread some day soon. All of my sheaths are nearly completely finished, I just have to stitch. That's the worst partt of all this I have found. The stitching...

Never tried it that brand actually. I used saddle soap and Kiwi brand mink oil
