Canadian Federal Election 2024 - TRUDEAU BTFO

I agree, I think it will be cons outperforming in ridings west of Sudbury, and the Liberals squeaking through in southern Ontario and the rest of the east. With the Bloc overperforming in a few places due to Carney's lack of French. Maritimers will vote based on whatever lifelong one-sided bloodfeud is currently pissing them off.
Carney is weak as hell. Kamala might have been retarded but she had some emotion. This guy is literal robot.

Reposting from Canada is a failed state, with some added info from the National Post:
OTTAWA — Liberal Leader Mark Carney lost the first French-language debate before it even started.

The Liberal Party of Canada announced its leader will not participate in the all-important French language TVA debate, raising yet another question on his ability to speak to francophones across the country and especially in Quebec.

The most-watched French-language network in Quebec organizes a parallel event to the French and English-language debates organized by the Leaders’ Debates Commission . It has become a must-see event during every election.

For example, former Conservative leader Andrew Scheer’s performance in this debate in 2019 was widely panned, while Justin Trudeau’s Liberals were able to regain momentum and win a second term.

However, TVA announced a few days ago that it was asking the four main political parties to contribute $75,000 each to participate, due to a lack of funding. Now, the absence of a single party means the debate won’t go ahead.

Even Jagmeet participated last time around, but given the level of Carney's French it might just be better for him to avoid the debate.

Currently Conservative leads by 4-5 points. Not enough for majority.

:story:you must be American. We don't choose exciting, entertaining, fucking retarded ex-reality game show hosts as leaders around here.

It's pretty funny how even after 3 years of being in the news cycle, Americans haven't learned anything from Putin’s geopolitical strategy.

If Putin was the American President and wanted to annex Canada, he would capture their mainstream media (try and brainwash the populace with OAN and Newsmax), make them dependent on American energy, make them logistically dependent on America, integrate their economies, promote American culture and downplay Canadian culture. Basically what he did with Crimea and what he's doing with Belarus.

But what Trump is doing is the opposite! His actions have caused Canada to decrease their dependence on America, find partners elsewhere (notably the EU) and rebuild a national identity (even if it is the pathetic “liberal patriotism” that Kamala tried to push)

Name one Canadian politician with any charisma whatsoever who actually became a party leader much less Prime Minister?
Chretien was fun, he had an aww shucks charm and endless amounts of malice. He was like Canada's Nixon. Louis St Laurent had a personality as well, where the guy just had friendly French Grandpa energy.

But most PMs are autistic robots. Harper was pretty buttoned down. Pearson was a nerd who resented the position. Mackenzie King was probably actually autistic and had a deep and abiding love of reasonably priced affection, and would hold seances to ask his dead mom for advice. Most of Canada's PMs are drunks, autistic or crooks. Usually some variation of all three.

Premiers are generally bigger personalities. Joey Smallwood of Newfoundland used to go into communities and threaten them if they didn't vote his way in both provincial and federal elections. Ralph Klein was a notorious drunk and used to berate homeless people. Multiple Nova Scotia Premiers used to offer bribes of whisky at the polls if you voted for their party. A lot of these are booze themed.

Canadians cannot comprehend anything beyond hockey, hence the state approved and mandated "patriotism" known as the "Elbow's Up" movement, which is astroturfed by has been Canadian actors that live and make money in the United States (Mike Myers).

Is it possible to unfuck your country, or are you so fucked it's impossible to fix?

Impossible to fix. People in Canada love their servitude. Canadians will legitimately argue against such fundamental freedoms as the right to bear arms and freedom of speech. In Canada, there is no freedom of speech unless you are part of the protected classes. Canadians deify niggers and "aboriginals", they truly believe that they live on stolen land even though they are being unironically replaced by Indians, Pakis, and Haitians. Criminals in Canada have more rights and freedoms than taxpaying, flag saluting citizens. The amount of scams, robberies, and home invasions has exploded in the last ten years. If you have a white child, they will be a minority in their classroom, mostly surrounded by inbred third world children that don't have any concept of personal hygiene or haven't a clue about indoor plumbing. The average Canadian can only think of things relative to hockey, hence the current "elbows up" movement. Canadians are weak and take pride in it, in fact their greatest hero is a one legged gimp.

Isn't that how Trudeau got elected? It's not what I would call charisma, but he has appeal for certain women and gay men.
It was also a massive fight to even let him run for a seat. As the party elders despised him. The only reason he got the leadership was the party was desperate and he came with backed with a ton of foreign money. Dion and the others thought they could control him. He eventually forced them all out by 2019ish.

But yes, he did have "Oh, he's so cute!" factor that caused a lot of women to vote for him. He was also doing the sensitive male feminist thing. Which even then came across as inauthentic and he always reminded me of the villian in 80's teen comedy.

Yeh Jack Layton legit looked like Lenin reincarnated.

Lenin if he was born a rich kid and child of a tsarist insider, 2 feet shorter, could only function as a city counsel apparatchik for most his life and had a nasty lifelong case of yellow fever. Not to mention, bisexual at a minimum.

Certainly a Toronto version of Lenin.

Sounds like...Canadian.

The issue though is that Canadian identity is reflexive (basically not a Red State) and its economy and culture are lazy.

The moment a culturally-acceptable Dem comes back into power Canadians will go back into coast mode and every lesson about trusting the Americans will be put in the trash.
