People hate Trudeau for million reasons, including liberals. I hate Trudeau because he fucked Canada. Everyone at work is watching this tards announcement and i am just scratching my head in disappointment because Trudeau is the result of Liberal Party and Canadians and people think getting rid of Trudeau is going to make things better.

Fundamentally the bills in parliament right now including the real nasty ones like the Online Harms Bills are basically frozen for now.

The Carbon Tax and gun grabs are expected to die under a Conservative government. Oil and gas will certainly feel relieved that Liberal eco-freeks like Guilbeault will no longer be breathing down their backs.

As for the immigration issue, thankfully a large number of Indians imported are technically students/TFWs and not permanent residents, so it remains now to see how effectively they can be removed. A lot of this can be done by simply hiring more people in the immigration department and reforming/speeding up the reviews process, especially for the expected fraudulent asylum claims. Bigger issues that will require addressing is birthright + chain migration. Immigration will be the Conservatives' greatest weakness as they of course are neocons and beholden to entities like Tim Hortons and ethnic politics.

The whole catch-and-release and bail reforms + the various changes in law favoring the natives (i.e. Gladue, allowing them to sue over and over again for their 'claims') are also tricky to untangle and will need to be addressed- the latter of which will be necessary if vast amounts of natural resources are to be made developable.

Finally, the biggest issue is fundamentally the productivity crisis + the housing bubble which locks up significant amounts of capital in rent-seeking, which I think are unsolvable outside of bubble deflation (no government wishes to address this).

I hate (and speaking as someone who use to be a dem and wasn't/really isn't the biggest fan of trump) how the dems/liberals haven't realized the issue with Trump isn't/wasn't that the issues he brought up, but how he chose to address them. If the dems were to acknowledge that we do have a problem then maybe we could come to a bipartisan agreement. But no! the Dems/liberals want to live with their heads in the sand.

I agree, I think it will be cons outperforming in ridings west of Sudbury, and the Liberals squeaking through in southern Ontario and the rest of the east. With the Bloc overperforming in a few places due to Carney's lack of French. Maritimers will vote based on whatever lifelong one-sided bloodfeud is currently pissing them off.
