People seem to forget that Biden left the Tariffs in place that Trump enacted during his first term. Democrats hate America but that doesn’t mean they like Canada or will do a 180 on whatever deal is worked out (or in Canadas case, not worked out).

Not to mention the fact that even if Dems get a slight majority that doesn’t mean they can circumvent Trump. He’s still the President and they’ll be dealing with the same admin.

The liberals in Canada somehow manage to piss off most of the American government regardless of party affiliation. Biden’s admin was also telling Canada that they were becoming a serious security risk. I despise the Dems but even they are sick of Canada being fucking retards.

It's pretty funny as the humor layers up. First the jeet gets arrested for crossing into the US, he says he was looking for 'his friend's' cottage. But the friend is just some dude on the phone giving him directions to a 'house where he could stay'. Bad mental health sirs. Mother now in hospital with anxiety from son's arrest. They weirdly also have strange brown privilege at the border too. Dude who had a Canada wide warrant and was on the run (and a suspect in a bunch of gangland murders, never charged with any but he's at like 8 including a couple teenagers) just drove over the border with a couple other brownos, none had ID. just made up names and the border guards went "alright all good" and let them go, which is apparently just something they do (good luck trying that if you're white lol). Was arrested months later for pulling a gun on a couple strangers in a hookah lounge https://vancouversun.com/news/surrey-gangster-released-us-prison-immigration

He was found shot in the head in a burning house a couple months ago lol

Maybe it's different with the Trump militia now but before the last couple years there were tons of retarded jeets wandering over on their donkeys and just getting shrugs. Meanwhile a white dude at a crossing with a passport is getting full cavity searched for hours

Michigan Democrats of all people, and Slotkin at that, proposing something like this pretty much means it will face zero opposition from anyone at any level of government, the extremely rare bipartisan issue in an era where we're otherwise ready to kill each other over shirt colors. Five or six years ago I took my kids on a road trip and one of our stops was Niagara Falls. I live in the Midwest and most of the trip was US side but when we were crossing into Canada, border guards made me pull off and searched us and the car. Took everything out and went through luggage too. A white American woman with a couple kids, all of us having passports. Needless to say all they found was clothes and toiletries.

In general, I don’t get overly annoyed at those things but the fact that browns can have active warrants, no ID, barely (if at all) speak English and they just get waved through is infuriating. That was last time I’ve ever crossed the border and I have no intention of ever going back. Not because of how shitty the border crossing was, but it was very noticeable that the area and the people in it were a lot dirtier and much less Canadian. This was back before I was aware of how things had changed in Canada and even then the whole vibe was really off. People just seemed weirdly depressed and barely interacted, which is strange in a heavily tourist area.

I’ve never even thought about it again until your comment just reminded me of that weird ass side trip across the border.

Used to work part time at a wedding venue. One of the late night snack options for guests was a grilled cheese station. Not going to lie it slapped. Lots of provolone cheese and higher end stuff and not just cheddar.

@Pointandlaugh Niagara Falls is just Chink and Jeet Tourists. Has been for a long time. You got to hit up Niagara on the Lake instead. See Fort George and then the Isaac Brock Monument at Queenston Heights along with the massive flower gardens they got nearby.

Boomers don't mind the jeets, hygiene issues, terrible food quality and fucking changed coffee recipe.
I have met a few boomers who did boycott tims however because they took away the trash cans from the drive through, since they were emptying their car of all their trash when they grabbed a coffee, which was a lot of work to constantly get a wagie to replace the bags.

There's many ways to view the war in Ukraine, and several have perfectly believable evidence to back them up. If you go to the Russian war thread you would see a LOT of recipts that indicate that not only does Ukraine not have a chance of winning the war, it's actually deliberately killing it's own troops by allowing cauldrons to form around them and sending them on suicide missions where the only reward is literally reddit updoots. If you believe in that version it get's plausible that you wouldn't want to go back.

Oh I have endless border stories. The best was my uncle got his entire truck ripped apart, took the seats out and everything and then said he was good to go and he had to put the shit back together, his seat etc. by himself lol he was there for like 4 hours for completely no reason. I got interrogated for like 40 minutes because they acted completely baffled that somebody might be crossing the border to pick up a package despite multiple towns at the border having like 50+ businesses specifically that pick up mail. Had to show my invoices, the website, go through my emails, hand over my phone, car searched, explain my job and why I wasn't working at that specific moment. Then got pulled in coming back too lmao

Years ago my mom was basically screamed for having like two cups of dog food in a container instead of bringing the entire 50 pound sealed bag. She had the small dog and all the correct paperwork with up to date vaccines and everything. Offered to just throw it out but the guy still had to go nuts first, threaten to ban her from crossing. They're horrible, and GOD FORBID if you go in the wrong lane or only one person has nexus and you forgot that etc. you're completely toast and marked as a terrorist forever.

The Canadian ones are often the bigger pieces of shit too if that's even possible

I have a buddy who knows a buddy who went through the same shit, it makes me really not want to drive across the border, only vehicle I have is a 90s truck in good condition, I love the thing, I don't want it getting fucked up. Good job on the burgers I guess if they want to keep despicable leafs out of the US lol, the stories I hear sure do leave me with second thoughts.

It's unsurprising that they wouldn't see the humor in trying to use both of these arguments simultaneously. If being "slaughtered" is the fate of the enlisted-men then yeah no shit he would dodge the draft. No one wants to be a fucking meat shield just for the principle.

There's usually some degree of shame associated with draft-dodging because the chances of you dying are actually quite low when enlisting into something like the US armed forces, and when you dodge the draft you're forcing someone else to take your place.

It's not really the same when it's a fucking meat grinder that hasn't made any progress in 4 years. Like sure it's selfish but dying for nothing doesn't help anyone. Putting a gun in your mouth for king and country loses it's luster when you don't like the king and the country barely functions and treats you like shit.

I honestly don't think anything about the actual restaurant matters tbh. It's "the canadian chain" and the place they went for coffee. So they show up, buy their coffee, and then sit there bitching about trump for four hours. Anything beyond that (like the actual quality/not having junkies shooting up in the booth next to you) is ultimately irrelevant. If anything the junkies just give them something else to shake their heads and complain about. It's baffling behavior. The Boomer+Canadian mix is very destructive

Its one of the only reasonable priced airport food you can grab. Fly a ton for work and its the one constant.... Edmonton and Toronto have better but airport food is either subway/tims or some shit hipster crap
