So it's worth it. Thank You very much!
looking up "what is one bitcoin worth" takes 4 seconds. assuming you're too stupid/lazy for google, this is still not the response someone would have to finding out they had nearly 800k sitting somewhere, even if you had 10 million in the bank. kys larper

I didn't mean to upset anyone. Yes I looked it up, but I am still extremely doubtful it could be true. I still don't have it open, nor the drive installed in the desktop. It will be installed on Tuesday next week. They said my desk top should be able to open the drive up and operate normally. Had to get another drive slot put in, along with the proper receptacle for the cable.

You didn't upset anyone, you're just acting comically uninformed. Imagine someone walked up to you and said "I have a winning lottery ticket but I don't know how to cash it? Do I just tell a bank teller to put it on my card? Should I put it in an ATM? I'll give 20% of my billion dollars to anyone that can help me."
On the off-chance that you're actually just computer illiterate and not a troll, please dedicate your aforementioned 10% to the maintenance and enhancement of this forum, though when donating you need to specifically state the funds are for the betterment of the forum, otherwise the Ooperator will spend it all on cheese and his secret pet cat

Boy. You guys are rough and tough on this 74 year old guy. But I didn't get soft yet, still thick skinned and been lurking here before the Epstein files. When I finally pulled the plug and got that protons mail to sign in here, like it suggested to do, I still was hesitant to post or comment on any thread. I've been lurking on the Iran conflict anyway.

You guys provide more info than any other site for Iran conflict. And for many other subjects for that matter. I can provide insight for somethings, that I lived and survived. I don't need enemies, got those in real life. Have a good life and I'm sure I'll cross some of your posts here soon.

I saw your profile and see you a cat lover. Sad that you may be raging gay. To each their own.

Please be careful of scammers.
You may be unaware, but this is such a pipe dream occurrence, to be sitting on forgotten bitcoin, that it's basically a whole industry to take advantage of people who don't know how valuable it's become.
A lot of "data recovery" people will just steal it if they gain access to the wallet.

This is probably part of why people also have a negative response. I mean it's almost like saying, "Hey, somebody emailed me saying I'm secretly an heir to a very large fortune, how do I get that money?"

Me, years ago I did that thing where you could mine shitcoins on your computer. Well normally this is really not profitable because of the electricity, but I actually was in charge of a whole laptop rack for reasons. The scheme really, truly crossed my mind to make all those laptops mine shitcoins. I never did it, and I probably would have been caught and it was good I didn't install software on a bunch of company property. But I also do feel like, in the back of my head, I could have actually gotten away with it for even just a few weeks or months, or just a couple computers (as they were hardly ever touched.) But I mean, back in those days it would have been just a few dollars, and what are the chances I would have converted the shitcoins to BTC and then sat on them for years? At that point I should just daydream about having invested in NVDA or predicting every step of the pandemic. But still, I sometimes think about the alternative reality where I went just a little further with my interest in crypto. This was 2018, I remember BTC was shitting the bed and went down to like 4k, and HoneyMiner doesn't even exist anymore afaik. I watched BTC go from like 15k to 4k and said ahh this crypto stuff is stupid.

I am a knowledgeable person when it comes to mining farms (let’s say around 3-10EH/s). You’ll be lucky to break even unless you get a sweetheart deal on electrical or flare gas even at those hash rates

Update to my old coin "wallet". We have the drive in a new slot on the desktop. I can see everything on the old drive including the wallet but requires a password to access it.... This may be a lost cause.
:stress:
Would you have randomly generated a password or re-used a password you use for other accounts?
