The "origin story" for all these tards' woes about voting is the 2000 election in Florida, but there the count could differ because humans were interpreting physical marks on the ballots among other things, it wasn't a computer count problem.

Wu never had to deal with any computational problem so she believes pressing a button is just a better way. Wu ignores the fact of life that the more complex you make something the more things can go wrong. Touch screens miss-register input, counting code can be shit, data transports can lack atomicity and lose data en route.

You can probably design a decent voting machine, but I'd still prefer to have a simple, anonymous, interface of "putting an X next to candidate".

Touch-screen voting machines are automatically changing votes in Mississippi

A Facebook user has taken video of a touch-screen voting machine changing their votes from Bill Waller, Jr. to Tate Reeves in the GOP primary for the Mississippi governor's race.

Some citizens, however, are having trouble making their vote. Voting machines in at least three precincts have rejected votes for Waller, selecting Reeves instead. The error does not appear to have affected all of the machines.

According to the Clarion Ledger, a machine at the Burgess precinct in Oxford — the machine in the above video — refused to register a vote for Waller. Before the error was detected, 19 votes had been cast on that particular machine.

Two machines in Calhoun County have also been seen to act this way, one at the Chickenbone Baptist Church and one at the Masonic Hall precinct in Vardaman. Though it's currently unknown how many votes were cast on these machines, Calhoun County officials are determining the number.

There are a number of reasons the system might fail that don't involve anything actually wrong with the touch screen. If it's actually indicating the (incorrect) vote on the screen, it isn't malicious, because any actual voting machine malware would display the vote you actually made while COUNTING it incorrectly.

BriannaWu.org is Wu's personal site but BriannaWu.com that has been parked by GoDaddy since 2004, that's a bit weird. There's only 7 people in the US with that name...
