Amen. This guy has legit seniority in the Apple community and has a ton of street cred in an area Wu wants more of. Blocking him would be a bitch move, and Wu knows it. Getting Jim suspended for hurting his feels would make Jim a massive martyr, so that's out too.
Basically, Wu CAN'T do anything aside from take it on the chin and not fight it.

Probably just throwing a hissy fit in the hopes some of her Mac blogger contacts can get her a BS position pushing diversity at Apple.
Absolutely beautiful that it backfired, most of her "respect" is due to how she has dug her way into a few influential Mac bloggers/twitter bigshots (Lots of the Mac tech scene were early Twitter adopters so have inflated follower counts/respect because of it).
So typical for SJWs take the hands of others to pull them onto the pedestal and then to start trying to push them off once they're up, they even do it to each other it's always me me me.

Wu, let me tell you something about the business world, and I'm not talking about your make-believe business world. I'm talking about the real, "we're getting shit done and making bank" business world.
For privacy reasons, let's just say that members of my family are well-established in the business setting. It kind of runs in the blood. Anyway, taking clients, co-workers, and just about anyone you want to keep happy out to a good restaurant is standard policy. Of course, drinking always is included in that. Social drinking is one of the cornerstones of the entire business world. A high-end company event will always have an open bar, for example, because alcohol is key to keeping the wheels of business turning. No deal ever goes down without an almost lethal amount of alcohol consumed. Having a high tolerance for liquor is actually a boon in business because it gives you an edge over the people who start to fall off the wagon on the second day of non-stop drinking during the convention.
Alcohol will never stop being a key player in the world of business. The culture simply won't allow it. Now, if you're worried about being raped at a business event, that's an entirely different subject altogether. It runs deeper than "I'm the only woman at this bar", and frankly has nothing to do with business itself and everything to do with the people you're associating with.

I'm predicting the salt is going to flow beautifully today. Too bad I got to work for so long.

I'm not no lawyer but firing a chunk of your workforce based on race and gender is probably a no-go and a class action lawsuit waiting to happen. I know whitey ain't a protected class but I still don't think that would fly.
