I still can't believe she had the guy thrown out for taking and tweeting a picture of hers at a panel where she was a speaker. The nerve of this lolcow is astonishing.

To be fair, I don't think she wanted him ejected so much for just taking the picture, but because she was able to identify that he was Ralph. He's been a constant, spergy critic of hers, so it makes sense that she wouldn't like him, but making a big production like that and demanding that he be kicked out is really stupid. I must say, it's rather amusing seeing the moment she puts it together and is able to a put a face to her arch twitter nemesis.

Brianna ruined its life the moment it first claimed to be a feminist.

I disagree. You can be a feminist and worthy of the title regardless of your gender so long as your goals and intentions are the equality of women in life in areas where they are being subordinated to men when they shouldn't be. Anyone calling themselves a feminist seeking glory and accommodation for the rights of women relative to their male counterparts is doing honorable work that should be praised.

Unfortunately, Wu does not qualify for the mantle, as Wu has thrown other women and even men who otherwise hold no ill will towards women under the bus for his own glory, using the fig leaf of feminism as a platform to attention whore and lash out at his enemies under a putatively just cause, when all it truly is for is to make Wu popular and relevant, using an issue more honorable souls have championed for good as a corrupted springboard for making a Twitter obsessed failure of a would be game designer relevant.

Ah.. My words were rather crudely chosen, right? I admit that my mocking of Wu's gender was rather shallow, but I believe my point stands that the moment Wu became a vocal feminist on the internet is the moment Wu became a lolcow. I absolutely meant no offense to feminism in general.

Sorry if I'm late to the party, but is Brianna Wu really transgendered? Was she originally a man? That's probably my first question after reading up on this whole Gamergate thing.

Yes, Brianna Wu was born John Flynt, a biological male who underwent surgery and hormone therapy to become a transwoman.

Whilst I would agree, normally.... No.

Wu has always been a lolcow.

She didn't reach the critical mass necessary to be milkable, however, until she latched onto Anti-GG. At this point, she endeavored to become one of the most visible members of the opposition, mostly by shrieking really loudly about how oh-so-oppressed she was. She needed to appear visible, so she false flagged herself repeatedly. First, she got her ass kicked by a parapelegic man:

This would mark things to come, as Brianna Wu is, impossibly, a bigger narcissist than Gloria Tesch and Chris-Chan combined.

Not content to have gotten her shit exposed on 8chan, she then went on to continue to exploit obvious troll accounts and false-flag herself: first on her own, then by drumming up a threat by SomethingAwful's FYAD as if it were something serious. At first many people simply put two and two together and thought maybe Wu was simply full of shit, but Wu increasingly showed she'd do anything to make herself seem a victim, including fleeing her home because she was oh-so-panicked, only to later have, due to her own fucking incompetence, the revelation that she never left her home show itself:

Even fucking bush-league liars know to keep their lies consistent, lest they be found out. Thankfully, Brianna Wu is fucking incompetent. After responding to Jace's RACE ME IRL postings like they were a credible threat (spoiler alert, Brianna and every supporter she has, including Margaret Pless, insists Brianna's in actual danger from these: You know, from a man who does not exist).

She then went on to treat the infamous SVU Episode, "Intimidation Game," as a documentary and that she feared for her life because of it.

All of this came to a head when Brianna Wu started openly false-flagging herself in order to distract from the fact that Revolution 60 was getting anally fisted in the court of public opinion on Steam. Only problem? She forgot to log out of her developer account:

And things sort of spiralled out from there. Brianna's always, at her core, been Chris with a budget, but it's Gamergate as a whole and her desire to profit off it, a-la Anita Sarkeesian and Zoe Quinn that pushed her from simple lolcalf to full-blown lolcow. At this point, I'll be genuinely surprised if we ever see Revolution 60 come out for PC.

Every dictatorship is a benevolent one from the perspective of the dictator. It is an interesting admission of what she really wants, though.

Does Wu have any remaining friends or associates within the gaming industry/games journalism at this point?

I haven't seen any mentions of her in the usual places like Kotaku and Polygon for quite some time now.
