Sounds like you don't understand how important it is to the game development process to go on Twitter and bitch about Xenoblade.
I'm getting conflicting data on what Frank Wu actually does. Is he a researcher or a patent troll? Both?Frank Wu makes bank from his pharmaceutical gig. I think it depends on how much more money he feels like pissing away. Do they even have a staff anymore or has Wu
driven everyone away? Wu is probably content with just
getting speaking engagements and Twitter attention. He's like
Sarah Palin, he'll only do as much as required to get
attention before quitting.
This is not a trait reserved for "strong female characters"3. Strong female characters: frequently mean displaying traits that are marked as masculine, such as committing violence

Strong female characters are entirely just independent female characters who act for themselves. "Committing violence" is a superficial viewpoint that I'm not surprised Brianna Wu latches onto.
There are numerous examples of strong female characters who do not commit violence. Just like there are examples of strong male characters who don't commit violence.
The problem is when you discuss video games you also have to get into a subject about violence. It's the nature of the medium and one you have to get used to. But a character does not and should not be seen as "strong" just because they can harm or kill other characters.

The only thing for her to bitch about in Xenoblade is a female party member having obviously shoe-horned in romantic feelings for a male party member when her character works better without the poor attempt at a love triangle. That, however, doesn't show up until you're a good 30 hours into the game, and it's been established that Wu put it away immediately after the opening cinematic and is just making up bullshit.
Is pretty bad because the triangle depends of a character that is missing from half of the game and her interactions with the hero were "awkward one sided crush". If anything, if she would bother to continue the game, she could get points in how that character ends being better as a motivational to get the hero going than being interesting compared with the other females in the party.
I don't think she'll get past the first fight with Metal Face. She'll scream about how Fiora's death is "WOMYN IN REFRIGERATORS" (aka their go to argument when anything bad happens to a female character regardless of context), conveniently forgetting that Fiora distracted Metal Face long enough to save Shulk's life and not going far enough in the game to see that Fiora gets better.
That, or she'll scrub up the fight and claim the game is "TOO HARD FOR WOMYN."
It just pisses me off because all the female characters have arguably the best story arcs in the game. Hell, the entire plot is moved forward because of who/what they are, and everyone recognizes their strength and the power of their convictions.
You know, I can't recall Shulk ever saving Fiora's life, but she saved his multiple times.
