Brianna can only play the "convincing" victim when she latches onto something she didn't start herself. GamerGate had gone nuclear by the time she inserted herself into the drama, and Jace was planned by an outside entity. Wu has been desperately seeking the next thing to be a victim of for months, but she can't ever get shit off the ground. The Trans Samus fiasco is a prime example of what happens when Wu tries to create the narrative.

Wu is also woefully unprepared to field the backlash she will received if she reveals her "trans status". A smart person would make the announcement, and then when asked about her false narratives would use that as a stepping stone to talk about how "oppression made me afraid for my life should I come out to the public". Wu cannot function at that capacity, as that would require her to admit potential wrongdoing insofar as not standing up for the community, and it opens the door for fucking everyone to talk about the wonderful life of John Flynt.

Hell, even John Flynt's behavior could be explained via some sob story about gender insecurity and mental issues leading to subsequent substance abuse and erratic decisions/actions. Then you can spin it into a narrative about how transitioning "changed her life", made her a better, more accepting person, and all that bullshit. SJWs would eat it up, but Wu cannot pretend to be humble outside of a stray Tweet so it will never sell.

All in all, she's just a terrible con artist who doesn't know a good angle when it smacks her in the face repeatedly.

I don't really know anything about Frank's writing (never read a word of it) but his drawn art seems to be at the very least good. I don't know if it's really great but I like it well enough. He is also a semi-well known published sci-fi writer.
