Concrete may have a place on spaceships and space stations because, due to containing a lot of hydrogen, it is a great material for slowing down the fast atomic nuclei in cosmic radiation that are harmful to astronauts. Against gamma radiation lead is optimal, but against particle radiation (the most prevailing and risky kind in space) you want something with lots of hydrogen nuclei (protons) in it. In lead the fast cosmic radiation nuclei would knock lose showers of neutrons which would be even more harmful to astronauts than the fast nuclei themselves, but from the protons they rebound, transferring a substantial fraction of their kinetic energy to them, being effectively slowed down. Thus it has been suggested that future spaceships should either store their water supply as a hull around the habitat, or else use a layer of lunar concrete or have active shielding which deflects cosmic radiation particles with magnetic fields (or a combination of all these).

As for the new version of R60, well, Brianna already lauded herself over making everything look like it was doused in neon paint, she sees this as a great improvement. Someone said the iOS version was too dark, so the obvious course of action was to crank brightness, contrast and colorization up to the max.
Oh right, I remember that, but I doubt they would leave it blank or use it as actual floor material, though.

In any case: I am pretty sure that the time last Wu thought something "hard scifi", she looked at a movie poster for "The Martian".
If Rev 60 is hard scifi, then I'm Vernor Vinge.

Yes, while Frank insists the background material for R60 is "dripping with science", it basically reads like some extremely trite fanfiction full of scifi tropes that have been regurgitated a billion times and HAL9000 recolors.

Well I am a surprised that there was indeed a bit of thought put into this, but if this is dripping with science, It's because the science doesn't stick very well.
And why does every plane or spaceship looks like it was made by a fabulous Klingon, with blades sticking out everywhere.

Wu is scraping the bottom of the barrel now:

Ummm....he's trying to help you because, in the recent past, you very obviously took a photo of your monitor with your phone ...you pillock!

Also: "My office"????? So Johnny Flynt squatting on the jakes with his phone on the ever-present Twitter, sluicing out Oreo-cream / Soylent squirts, while giggling with anticipation about how "clever" he's being....

....qualifies as an "office" now?

-Flynt to English Dick-tionary:

1. "Natalie" - John Flynt
2. "Office" - John's John
3. "Sexism" - Disagree with John
4. "Engineer" - John managed to master CNTRL + ALT + CHP OFF MY DCK
5. "Barbarella" - verb, meaning to blind everyone with eyes while managing the rare feat of almost ruining vintage Jane Fonda.
6. "Cupcake Crisis" - Shut up Amanda
7. "Rev. 60 is DONE" - Leave me alone I'm Freebasing Oreos

You know what would be really neat? Just once, I'd like to hear what these stats are for transfolk without it being wholesale, willful deceit.
John is a master of probability. He isn't tied down by the misogynist, transphobic need for accurate numerators and denominators.

I saw an episode of South Park recently where butters has to filter Cartmens twitter posts so he only sees tweets that are nice to him, I wonder if this is in reference to Brianna Wu's employee Natalie.

Flynt wishes.

It was just a general 'The Internet is not a safe space, fuckers' thing.

Jesus, it reminds me of the early 3D-accelerated games on the PC from the late 90's, where suddenly games started to have colored lightning everywhere (the biggest example of this being the original Unreal), but even those didn't abused colored lightning as much as John Flynt, not even a gay pub is that colorful.

But honestly, i don't know to say if it looks better or worse than before, the flat lightning on the original looked hideous, but this seems to look just as bad, but in a different way, i guess the lesson here is that both extremes are bad.
