Frank's Hugos aren't ill-gotten, but it's important to note that the Hugos once represented something much different. It was politics-free, it was an event for the best and brightest in Sci-Fi. Then Social Justice descended
Nah, sci-fi was always full of politics, corruption, and drama since day one. I think the difference is that in the old days, people were there because they genuinely liked sci-fi regardless of their personal hobbyhorses, and valued having a community of people to be able to discuss the genre with. The hallmark of the parasitic SJW type is not liking the thing they're trying to take over - I mean, here we are in a thread about a game developer who hates games and software development, right?

And where the second you play by their rules and give the opposite side enough of a position, they'll burn everything down despite telling you they'll accept you if you actually play fair and by their rules.

Ow, the edge.

Welp, better show this to Mass Effect fans.. :ween::ween:

I hope she at least left Legion to die in ME2. I sure as hell could never be able to kill that ol' flashlight head and his whole race at once. That's real fucking shitty.

Johnny is a real bosh'tet.

Wu is a prime example how utterly shitty Twitter is as a social platform. I mean, in general sense whole concept of social networks is kind of bullshit when you look at it, but Wu and people akin to her are really good example of how utterly shitty it is. Sure, I don't mind Twitter because I follow people that, yknow

ACTUALLY DELIVER THEIR SHIT

When I hear this song, Wu is one I remember:

My favorite part of the whole GG debacle was how Anita, Brianna, and Zoey were literally fighting over who was the most oppressed, as if that was a coveted prize.

Then again, this is the Victim Olympics, so I guess claiming the title of "most oppressed" must be a great accomplishment for them.

Appropriating trans issues again, John?

So what she's saying is that Brianna Wu will compromise as much as possible.

Wu on the Bond movies

WAT

There are people on this planet who think the Daniel Craig movies are not only good but even superior to older Bond movies??

The Craig movies aren't good; they in fact aren't even "Bond". There isn't a single second in them in which there is some TRUE and HONEST Bond atmosphere. The thing is, Bond used to be very tongue-in-cheek, campy and over the top - the Craig movies take themselves super seriously, there isn't a speck of humor or irony, everybody is constantly frowning and pissed-off looking... Déjà-vu: this sort of reminds me of something but I just can't pinpoint what it might be.

#Killalltrannies

(Brianna Wu claims there's all this transphobia, thought I'd give it a shot using language she'd understand ((see also: hashtag)))

Hey, John, do your followers know that you're a homophobe and a fat-shamer? I'm sure your overweight lesbian followers would love to know you yelled "fat dyke!" at someone who rejected your laughably bad comic strip. That tirade also included very ugly racial slurs towards an esteemed professor, resulting in a restraining order. How would that affect your standing as a warrior for social justice in their eyes if they knew the real you?

Or maybe they'd like to know how you're so transphobic yourself that you got kicked off a transgender message board for your hateful comments.

Tell us more about how bad gay people and women are, how "phobic" they are.

Does anyone know any tricks to release a game on time?

Heh. I totally believe that Wu wants 'equity'... about 25 Million for some ludicrous idea called "something-something-emotions meets something-something-VR".
"Diversity" is a code word for tokenism!!! btw my show suddenly needs pee-oh-cees

Well, this tells me that there are two possibilities:
Either Wu doesn't know anyone competent and willing enough to be a regular on a podcast with her, or everyone she asked already said 'No', so she has to resort to twitter for recruitment.
