What is the point of lying about playing these games?

Wouldn't it be easier to lie about playing the game without including a stolen screen shot that would be super easy to trace back to Google images?

I still believe he fucked up the game when adding all of those lights and has no way of restoring it to a workable condition.
I think he thought he could or that he had someone that thought they could and that's why he even brought up Steam, but they can't fix it and now John doesn't know what to do.
He doesn't care, he has his efame but as long as someone can say "where's the game, John?" his ambien high will never be quite as sweet.

Sadly he can't because he is using the Steam approval mail to shut the "haters", so he killed that possibility without knowing, EVERYTHING is ready, john only has to press Publish in his steam account to release it, but he doesnt want to for reasons we all know

I'm in the camp that John has always intended to meet each deadline at the moment he makes the promise. He's just incompetent.

He's never once apologized for missing a prior deadline. I'm not sure what that is evidence for.

Although I still don't believe that Wu is loosing patrons directly to Rapp... this must be a real kick in the balls for Wu (wink wink, nudge nudge).

While Wu is constantly waving her arms around to keep up her crumbling facade of a female, geeky, bouncy, hard-working feminist game developer, Rapp essentially titled her Patreon "Gimme money for fucking around!" (wink wink, nudge nudge) and is raising more money than Bribri, just because she manages not to look like a scarecrow on most of her photos.

I still find it hard to imagine that there are real people who give their money to people like Wu. It's one thing to sympathise with someone you assume is being truthful about their miserable situation, it's another thing entirely to want to bankroll their lives for no reason other than that they tell a good sob story.

The game is never coming. Wu doesn't have the technical know-how to make it happen and it's probably too expensive at this point to bother hiring someone out to port it (I'm guessing Kickstarter money went to photo shoots and hormone treatment).

Wu will continue to funnel excuses until he comes up with one that he thinks can stick. My guess is "my life has been threatened if I release the game so for my safety I can't".
