Flynt/Wu is so fucking ignorant on every topic that he pretends to be an expert on that I'm almost ready to believe that he's having us on with this arrant bullshit.
He's so damned oblivious to even the most rudimentary knowledge of firearms that he thinks there is a gun called "the Glock" that is outlawed in Massachusetts. There are, in fact, several models of Glock that comply with Massachusetts law and are available for purchase from gun stores in the state.
And any Glock can be legally sold by one individual to another individual in Massachusetts. The law banning certain models from being sold applies only to licensed gun dealers.
I think I can take a good guess as to what happened that made Wu an expert on
firearms Glocks.
It all happened in the summer of 1983, when John Walker Flynt, a local Mississippi gay boy, was still alive. John and his rich parents got invited to his uncle's in Hicksburg, Flyoverstate. They never talked much about the uncle because he was a simple man with a simple wife and a simple child, but went anyway because John should know all his family (that would later ABANDON HIM).
So uncle Rich thought that he and his nephew should bond a bit and got his brand new Glock 17 out from under his pillow and took John and his son out behind the
woodshed house to shoot at his wife's old skillets that were hanging from an old pear tree.
John was allowed to go first because "that boy could sure use some manliness points... jeez Joel, what are you doing to him, he acts like a girl". So there John was, clutching his first ever handgun, taking careful aim with one eye squeezed tightly shut (like in the movies!) and slowly pulling the trigger to the sweet spot and then pulling that tiny bit more to hit the round right past the pan and into the woods. After emptying the magazine and watching uncle and cousin hit the mark almost every shot, he watched his uncle take apart the gun (wow that's so cool!) to just give it a quick cleanining.
Later that day, when they headed back home and John's parents asked him what he and his uncle and cousin were doing after dinner when they headed outside, they saw a strange glint in their strange son's eyes and heard him whisper "Today I became an expert...".
tl;dr: Wu shot a gun like once or twice ever and never heard a word about safe handling.
