It is an equitable distribution state, so he'd get some fair share of it as determined by a court. That would still probably be substantial so John wouldn't just immediately be destitute. Frank doesn't own that house apparently, it belongs to relatives, who probably wouldn't just give it to John, so he'd have to find somewhere else to live.

Anyway, Frank wouldn't have to leave John for that reason. He'd just kick him to the curb.

Don't like the deal they're offering and know that they don't want to go through the nightmare of court proceedings? Just refuse to sign the papers and force them to live in a shitty, unhealthy situation until you psychologically break them to the point of giving you a better offer.
Frank is wealthier, smarter, contributes more, and (if history is anything to go on) far more naturally disposed towards cruelty. John would not fare well in the event of a divorce.

I don't think I agree with this point. Every interaction I see from Wu, especially the way in which she condescendingly speaks to anyone who DARES have a differing opinion, speaks to a huge tendency towards petty cruelty. She's constantly trying to show that she's better than everyone else, and due to an almost complete lack of natural talent or work ethic, the only method she has to accomplish this is to tear other people down.

The only saving grace is that she is relatively powerless concerning anything that actually matters (outside of her twitter/podcasting hugbox), so she can't really be more than petty, and is unable to do much actual harm.
