Bro.

John Flynt does not have employees.

And dogs can't use computers.

It would have to be a big screw up to warrant configuring a git.

With all the victim shekels why not just get a cheap computer and drive share the files? A raspberry pi could do the job no problem and it saves everyone having to configure git on their own machine, downloading the master branch and making their own branches.

git also serves a purpose of versioned backups and state management, and staged commits. It's a a lot more resilient than just keeping a single version on a file share. It should also be pretty trivial to setup for someone like Wu who prides their self on being a "talented developer". Git or something like it is ultimately the right solution for maintaining the source for the game. I think Unreal even provides native support for it within the IDE. Having it in place from day one, and using it every day as work progresses should be a a rather unremarkable, and fundamental aspect of any modern software project. Obtaining control of the git repo AFTER the release of the product is pretty telling. It's a little like a chick looking into birth control after she's already pregnent.

Bit late to the game but why the fuck is Wu using a git repo this far along? And if she just gained control, why the fuck wasn't she marked as a developer or admin on the git repo beforehand?

i have two theories

1) John dont know what the fuck he is talking about

2) Someone else was programming R60 and finally let John touch the code, i say this because his excuse about another Appid for the R60 Special edition, bolstering the theory that "the special edition doesn't exist" or john does not have it

Don't get me wrong, git is a fantastic tool. In fact its pulled me out of a hole on more occasions than i can count.

But adopting git this late into the development cycle almost seems like a chore. It just seems that yet again, Flynt has only thought about dev cred rather than actually releasing the game.

I think Wu is just throwing out terms to try and make herself look like a programmer. Likely doesn't have a fucking clue what any of them mean and I'm guessing any actual work to get that game to work on PC is being done by some contractor on Upworthy.

As someone who has tried it both ways, I vouch for this entirely, use git from day one or you will hate yourself when you finally decide to use it.

Also, git is supported for UE4, Wu stated they were using UE3:

https://wiki.unrealengine.com/Git_Source_Control_Provider_Plugin

Still don't think it would be too hard to integrate regardless since a UE project is self contained in it's own folder and it would be trivial to turn into a git repo.

Alright, since we got onto a subject about Wu using git and how the git (pun intended) could have saved his ass some trouble using it from day one, it would work something like this:

1. Wu creates git repo for game, syncs the local repo (on Wu's computer) with the remote version (on the cloud/server he and his imaginary staff have it stored)

2. Game project files are all moved or saved to local repo, synced with remote.

3. Every time Wu or another dev tweaks the damn thing and makes sure the changes didn't break shit, they make a commit (or change) to the remote repo from their local version, and if they fuck up, they revert back to an earlier commit. This only reverts changed files, also known as delta changes (this is very similar to that number you see next to wiki revisions that informs people of the changed numbers of bytes the page is, only on a file structure level as opposed to a single file's changes level), so it should time travel back to before shit broke, and as long as Wu and the imaginary staff are keeping their repos synced regularly, project should proceed smoothly.

4. When project has matured to point of being compile worthy, compile code from the source in the repo, bake it into an executable program, and upload whenever you need to using whatever upload service is appropriate.

Something says that in reality John just got a server/premium in dropbox

I was wondering, does it get more expensive as you get older to pass? Like doesn't male pattern baldness kick in along with other stuff that happens to men as they get older? Would Wu require a lot more surgery?

Estrogen and loss of testosterone will stop and slow a lot of it. Flynt was just already hit hard because he transitioned late. That he doesn't take care of his hair has only exacerbated the balding problem.

EDIT: Pity we can't judge for ourselves since this game is never coming out.

The one on the left reminds me of two things.

Those terrible style/dress up games on iOS and a crazy tranny like Wu.

It's fucking surreal seeing Wu tweet at Chris Kluwe and kirtaner/Aubrey Cottle. A confirmed pedophile permabanned from SomethingAwful like 10+ years ago.

So is all this spazzing out just a prelude to John finally admitting he is too incompetent even to release whatever abortion he was left with when he quit paying all the people who actually made the game?

Turns out all his employees were gator trolls. Needs more money to finish game.
