Of course our beloved john maximum leader in the video game industry instead of giving her a meaningless job in the multinational corporation Spacekat studio ,just sended his regards via Twitter , problem solved
Seeing that Talia is not able to buy groceries, at least Johnny should have introduced her to the wonders of Soylent Green.

That someone can graduate with a degree in English literature (lol) and still write a letter that ultimately turns out like that is a pretty scathing indictment of her alma mater at least, and very likely academia as a whole.
English departments have long stopped teaching English; instead they deal with issues like "deconstructing desires -- Sarah Kane and the postfeminist trafficking of différance".

Lol, her twitter bio specifically states "Better at thinking about things than actually doing them".

So she thought of a way to get fired from a job she doesn't like, and hopefully get some victimbux out of it. My guess is that publicly defaming the company you work for qualifies as being "terminated for good cause", so she's likely ineligible for unemployment payments. I wonder if she's thought of how she is going to pay rent when people have moved on to the next flash-in-the-pan outrage specialist.

Careercow in the making?

Highly probable. I think she is worth keeping an eye on.

I wonder if she's thought of how she is going to pay rent when people have moved on to the next flash-in-the-pan outrage specialist.

Judging from her instagram images she will be fine. She is trying to execute a con job, she isn't actually deprived.

http://alotofrice.pixieset.com/thatsalotofrice/ <------- Much expenditure on optional items and even luxuries

But we shouldn't clutter this thread with off-topic stuff. Talia Jane may be worthy of a thread of her own.

800$ for a overpriced (for now) toy with functions with no use for now (what do you need sensor for objects in the room?), i think i readed on my flipboard that Apple is going to release their VR headset soon, so expect I'M GOING TO DELAY REVOLUTION 60 AGAIN TO MAKE IT VR COMPATIBLE anytime soon

IMHO i would go for the Rift, or wait that the tech gets more cheaper and with more titles, i don't want to pay shitload of money only to play Elite Dangerous or EVE Valkyrie

I wonder how long it will be before Wu finds something problematic about steam VR, starts mouthing off about Valve on Twitter, and gets her (absolutely gonna be released soon guys!) game completely kicked off the platform like the guy from Code Avarice did.

Gonna powerlevel a little bit here, as SteamVR is something I've been looking forward to:

It is definitely (WAY) on the expensive side, but I'm still excited for the Vive. It appears to be more full featured than the Oculus, in that it comes with 2 controllers that are specifically designed to be used in VR, as opposed to just tossing in an Xbox controller. The reason for it to be able to sense objects in the room is that it comes with 2 base stations that you are supposed to set up that will allow you to actually walk around the room and have that reflected in VR. Maybe it will help keep you from tripping over your coffee table.

Additionally, the buzz is that Valve has been very accommodating with developers who are producing content for VR, so hopefully it won't be very long before it is supported by many more games. I frankly have more faith in Valve being able to pull off that type of thing than Facebook.

Anyhow, sorry for the powerlevel. I'm not a Valve fanboy by any means, but they have a pretty good track record... As long as you're aware that you'll never see SteamVR v3.0

As far as i know the Steam VR SDK is open source, heck is even compatible with the Occulus SDK a good move by Gaben to prevent the "exclusives"

Still our dear Godzilla of Feminism is going to find a way to fuck it up, or call them toys compared to the Apple VR Headset

Every time Brianna has to choose between stupidity and thoughtfulness, she chooses stupidity.

Brianna "100% Rogue in Mass Effect" Wu calling the gaming community out on cruelty? Irony. I wonder if she even realises how two faced she is. Has she mastered her mental gymnastics to such a degree that even she cannot realise when she uses it?

That means she was playing since she was 14. Or since she was 11 if you use the birthday she made up.
And John couldn't have been "playing competitively" back then since he was too big for a second person to stand at the arcade machine.

That aside, it's technically possible that he spent his youth feeding quarters into a SF2 machine somewhere in Mississippi, but really it's just another example of how he has to be the first and best at everything when he invents new pieces of his backstory. World expert on Unreal Engine, Seinfeld-level comedic genius, and so on.

Yet another lie for the pile:

Uh...that would mean Wu somehow has been playing "competitively" since 1990/91. Given the lolcow records put Wu's birth in 1977, that means Johnny was 14 when they suddenly started being competitive...which is impossible.

Street Fighter II: The World Warrior, the game that established the SF series as a franchise, came out in 1991. Being a "professional video game player" wasn't even a thing until 1996 (or so the info I find online suggests), so Wu's somehow claiming to be something that can't have possibly happened.

Wu could probably beat DSP.
I actually doubt that - DSP is a shit player but from what I have found, he at least knows how to play a fighting game.

Wu always takes the cheap way out...which means spamming cheap attacks (particularly projectiles I'd bet) ad nauseum or otherwise mashing buttons at random with no clear idea on how to actually counter attacks.

All DSP would need to do is catch Wu in a juggling loop and Wu would immediately scream/accuse DSP of cheating/ragequit because they have no idea how to get out of a common situation like that.
