Is the Pre-Sequel worth playing in 2025 for someone who missed it at launch but was still a big fan of BL2? I have not played anything from the series after the Tiny Tina DLC for BL2.
If you liked BL2, i say pre-sequel is worth a try. i would suggest you install some mods. I used community patch years ago but i heard the exodus mod is pretty good.

Honestly, I would say yes. The story wasn't too bad, and it introduced my favorite BL character in the Doppelganger. If you can find it cheap, you'll definitely get some entertainment out of it. The low-grav and zero oxygen mechanics will take a little bit of getting used to.
Oxygen is barely noticeable as you will almost never have a situation where you are going to be killed by no oxygen and personally I like the zero-grav segments. The game not having slag is also great.

Right, O2 canisters are a dime a dozen in any no-oxygen area and there are vents or oxygen machines almost everywhere that will restore your O2. The only time I noticed myself getting low is if I’m exploring the boundaries for hidden chests/secrets/vault symbols/what have you.
I mean more so that in zero-oxygen environments, Incendiary weapons are more or less useless. Realistic, but also not ideal if you like to set enemies on fire. Though most of the heavy fighting will take place in oxygenated areas so it doesn’t really matter all that much. Just something to keep in mind especially in the beginning.
Cryo is definitely much better than slag and I will die on that hill. I think I just hated how slag was basically completely necessary to kill anything in BL2’s UVHM.
I was able to get BL2 and Pre-sequel cheap as it always circles rounds on offers just as much as Valves games do through steam. I've been meaning to get the first one again after having it on console. Though the enhanced version is pants due to a bunch of autistic percentage reasons of weapons drops or some shit.
Personally I just prefer the sounds to the original weapons
So, I'm interested in farming for some rare guns; saw a video on Borderlands 1's Nemesis Invader - a Pearlescent weapon that has a roughly 1/19,000 chance to spawn with a Legendary scope, making it one of the rarer guns in the franchise, on top of being a solid gun all around.
Was curious though; are there any other weapons in the other games that're similarly rare? From what I've read, the rarest guns used to be the Cobra or the Twister, both from Borderlands 2, but given both the updates since the game's dropped, as well as the other Borderlands games in mind, what's the real rarest gun(s)?
i don't think the next borderlands will do well, you can't go back to that style of game. the only one that would be a hit would be a Tiny Tina game, maybe a prequel to her appearance in 2 and its made with the Ren'Py engine.

the twister isn't a rare drop per se, it has a 33% drop rate but it's a pain in the ass to farm because triple O has a 1% to spawn. If you really wanna farm the rarest item in bl2 you could always farm a perfect hide of terra which is like 10^-8

pre sequel doesn't have dedicated drops so legendaries can only be obtained as world drops or through the grinder, as for bl3 legendaries drop like candies and there's not really a super rare item

If the story is tolerable, gunplay is equal to or better than 3, works at launch, and the game doesn't stop you constantly like 3 the game will do fine.
It's a series where the vast majority of it's own player base is aware and puts up with things they hate about the series and also has a large casual base because of its co-op features.
I do think it will do worse than 3 most likey.
I think it won’t do well because every other game took some sort of aspect from this series and took it to its worst conclusion. At least for a while now there were a ton of games (that aren’t specifically Diablo-likes or mmos) that had gear systems and did what borderlands did but worst. Especially in games where it’s clear it’s more of crutch to extend play time (avengers, destiny) than actually bringing new elements to their games.
So let me get this right. They updated their TOS so they have the legal right to dox you basically (having accesses to your home address, IP etc) if you live in the US?
Not that shocking considering they sent Rothschild agents after people for leaking info of Borderlands 3 a few years back.
I ran into a very annoying glitch in the PS5 version of BL3 last weekend.
I went into the Hammerlock Faggotry DLC, and in the mission where you have to get the generator going for the chairlift, the creature nests aren't interactable objects, so I can't progress. AT ALL. Multiple reloads didn't help, may try going into a different DLC area to see if it fixes it. Anyone have this happen and find a fix?
