Looking at it it is immediately suspicious how the parts of the car that got sprayed were the ones that would be easiest to clean off. Apparently this psychotic deadhead was very careful to get as little as possible anywhere that might risk the paint job.

Of course Boogie knows people will probably accuse him of faking it, which is why he's pre-prepared the excuse he's on "vacation" (even though he doesn't actually do anything to be on vacation from, they're more just trips) so he couldn't possibly have done it.

the biggest sign that you're looking at a staged crime is when the perpetrator makes obvious mistakes. Misspelled words, backwards swastikas, that sort of thing. Drug or alcohol benders never excuse this sort of thing -- somebody who's so fucked up on drugs that they can't spell or draw important symbols correctly is also likely too fucked up to get out of their own living room to reach the victim's property to attempt it in the first place.

No self-respecting nazi would ever draw the swastika backwards or otherwise incorrectly, and if you're going to accuse someone of being a pedophile, you certainly wouldn't misspell the word on the surface you're vandalizing. You don't want people to be confused about your message; you want it clear as a bell.

This doesn't even get into stupid mistakes like Fatrick Tomlinson's famous "capture self on video vandalizing own motorcycles then post that footage online to prove vandalism" maneuver.

Writing all the above makes me realize something funny. It seems like staging a phony crime scene is actually harder than successfully committing an actual crime sometimes.

Also intentionally bad spray paint because you're working on a big canvass it's really hard to end up with letters of different sizes. Because you can see easily how big the other letters are and have massive room for error, there's no possible way you could double the size of letters accidentally.
