I’ve been thinking if he could have been different if he hadn’t been on YT. His entire life has been lies and excuses, but did he start that way or did his online fame cause it or bring it out? . Even his old man schtick is a lie. 48 may seem old if you are 20, but it’s still 15 years away from when most people retire, and it’s the age when a person with a career has gotten very good and is at their earning peak. Aches and pains are not the norm, and most men are married, with kids, and can be physical. . He acts like 48 is 75. For him it is but that’s not the norm yet he keeps saying it is.
Makes me wonder what would have happened if he was born in 2005 instead of 75. Back in the day YouTube was random, going viral was new. Gaming was not advanced and many people’s idea of a gamer was a fat, toothless, ugly dude in mom’s basement, which Boogie was and which he “exposed”. Now all our Dads play video games, it’s not some niche form of entertainment reserved for fat lonely kids, so that would never be a hook.
People who make it big on YT these days specialize in something. They tell stories, make something they can teach to others, talk about their expertise. Being fat wouldn’t be enough-unless you start out as the train wreck he’s become. (Like Chantel or Anna)
So he made it because he was a fat gamer who splashed in a pool then told a sob story on a draw my life, People felt sorry for him being fat and thought they understood gamers better. But he’s never been able to actually do anything people wanted- his one shot at staying relevant was doing gaming news and shutting up about his personal life, but he is too dumb and self-centered to see that.
So now, he flounders around, asks people want they want to see and refuses to believe he’s a lolcow and just cash in that way.

There's already a clip of this in the thread, but I wanted to extend the clip. This takes place soon after Boogie had weight loss surgery and it finds him eating a cookie and then making excuses to why he's eating the cookie. Then, it goes into some general Boogie sex-pestery.
Then, it captures Boogie lying and stealing someone else's story in real time! His life is so uninteresting that he's stealing another youtubers story about buying chocolate (again, after his weight loss surgery). Then, the youtuber walks in as Boogie is telling the story and calls him out on it! Boogie immediately becomes a pathetic victim. It's just so fucking sad.
He would've found a means to still continue a fat and lazy parasitic lifestyle, sitting around on social media all day. The only difference is that he'd have found a way to do it on taxpayer money. He said as much himself in one of his numerous AMAs.
As far as your thoughts on Boogie's fame and timing, he'd have never taken off if he was looking to build his brand from scratch today. Boogie's fame is entirely a matter of being in the right place, at the right time, with the right endorsements, abusing early YouTube algorithm, at a time when people were honestly fascinated with fat people for lack of a better way to put it. There was certainly no talent or hard work involved.

He was still posting his garbage content consistently in 2019/2020 and that he has been "falling off" well before 2019. Yeah, real good "break" for you there boogie and I am not even counting how often he was on twitter over that period of time.
Its no realization though, just another shitty excuse for how horribly his channel has been doing for the last few years. Used to be this dude that hung out and drank with us, was a sociable enough fellow, he'd bring beer or wine and we'd play video games and shit, normal stuff for mid 20 year old retards. After a couple months, he started really grating on us. Every story we'd tell he'd somehow make it his, and he was always making it seem like he was better than you. If you banged some 7/10 chick, he banged a 9/10.. If you got into a fight with a 6'1 200 pound dude, he got into a fight with a 6'3 250 pound guy. Always just so annoying, and he fucked the entire feeling of the 5-6 of us hanging out. That sort of reminds me of how booger1488 is, he always has to be the center of attention, always has to outdo you, and never seems to be able to add to a good conversation, he just steered it back to himself Finally just told the dude to stop coming around. You know, you'd think for a friendless shut in like Boogie 2020 would be rather easy, yet somehow he made it an issue. If anything many shit channels saw their biggest surge during Covid, and yet, he somehow didn't.

I am not actually (though it is kind of sad that I even have heard about Winkleham). A lot of it is projection, honestly. I actually used to be a lot like Boogie, where I was fat and bragged about myself a lot. One major reason is that I am literally autistic. Thankfully, I was never as fat as him because my parents were super strict about diet when I was growing up, though I was still overweight/borderline obese.
I have made several major changes in my diet since the pandemic began: I haven't had a soft drink with artificial sugar in two years, I haven't had caffeine in months because I realized that I got hunger cravings as a result. Also, I buy my flour from small mills so I can have fresh whole wheat flour, which tastes way better than store bought. As a result, I have been at a healthy weight for two years. I guess I still identify with him deep down to some extentokay, maybe way more than that 8)
Interesting to hear about these channels! He still has far more subscribers than the vast majority of Youtubers, so definitely a subset will be overly fascinated by his behavior.

He never retired, he just became disillusioned with Youtube because he wasn't getting as many views anymore. I pointed this out earlier in the week with this screenshot:
He started uploading more towards the end of 2020 because of the new consoles and he was getting decent views. He of course thought it was because Francis was back and spammed Francis videos until he started getting low views.
He tends to upload once or twice a week now. Is this because he retired? Of course not. He's just lazy, but also craves attention. So he can't be fucked, but the need to stay relevant pushes him to do the bare minimum.
We've also seen him use the excuse of "laying low" until the court case with the State of Arkansas was over and that's why he hasn't uploaded a lot. He made that comment in the "This has to be Rock Bottom" video from Feb this year.
The only real break he took was from Twitch and that's because any time he streamed, he'd end up on r/livestreamfails. The rapists and nazis meltdown was the final nail in his coffin for streaming, so he did actually lay low with the streams. Perhaps something happened behind the scenes with Twitch that we don't know about.
