The more I think about it, the more I keep thinking how Bluesky users remind me of how non-Twitter/Reddit leftist users see Twitter and Reddit.
Poking fun at Twitter and Reddit despite being the very perfect contender for those two sites. It always bothered me seeing a leftist with quirky pronouns and speaking like a Pinterest comment section making a meme about Redditors despite they'd fit right in within the community as a "Top 1% Poster" and probably being 25/8 active on r/196 or r/Minnesota.
For Bluesky, it's people making fun of Twitter for being "full of brainwashed alt-right natzis living in an EVIL echo chamber" despite being that exact thing but within a lefty sphere. They're the very people to be smug about "finally finding a peaceful place to EXIST in" even though it's conservatives and right wingers having to move to separate platforms sometimes because their opinion will almost always get mocked more often than any leftist opinion on the site (sometimes deserved, other times for the sake of being 'THE WRONG OPINION').
Like with how black people demand how white people should act around them, it's never enough for a Bluesky user. They'll never be happy and they'll blame their pessimism on you and anyone else who isn't like them. Kind of like a glorified FatPacks simulator.

Thought I'd go check the Bluesky stats since it's been a few months. So, since the APIs can be easily tracked, here are a few fun facts about Bluesky:
According to ClearSky's front page, there are 59 million registered accounts as of right now, but 20 million of those accounts have been deleted or banned. Based on these numbers, roughly 34.79% of Bluesky users will inevitably delete their accounts or be banned. And that number only accounts for removed accounts, not those that were simply abandoned.
According to this live stat tracker, about 600K users made at least one post in the last 24 hours.
When compared to Bluesky's all-time peak of 1.4 million (in November 2024, around the US election), it means there's been a user falloff of roughly 44.58%.
