It's not like it doesn't happen, it's just much less likely to happen to trans people.

There are approximately 1.6 million trans people in the United States according to this estimate. This past year, GLAAD recorded 28 trans people murdered in the United States. Note that this was who was murdered, not why for. I know on a past list one was a trans man murdered by their trans woman partner in a murder suicide. Even if these were all trans hate crimes, this means that 0.00175% of the transgender population was actively murdered last year. This is better than the 0.075% of all homicide deaths the USA had on average in 2022. That is a .07325 less. You are a lot less likely to get murdered if you're transgender.

To add to this, (because I looked into it years ago when these claims were first being bandied about,) if you look into the details of those 28 murders you should find most of them were prostitutes or homeless or both.

In other words, they were in situations that already carry a higher mortality rate than normal life, so it's less likely they were killed for being trans and more likely they died selling bussy for crack in the ghetto. Play stupid games...

The sources says specifically anti trans violence, but it is actually all the murder that happened last year. Even if more murders are underreported, how many? Would it be double? That still is a drop in the pan compared to the rest.

I did some homework and looked into the crimes. Crimes not mentioned have not had enough details or found a killer.

Kassim Omar was called slurs and shot by teens after a confrontation. The injuries were from 2022 and killed Omar this year. This one can be marked hatecrime, I believe.

Dylan Gurley, currently classified as a personal dispute but could be classified as a hate crime. Gurley was arguing with the murderer about the murderer's sexual orientation before being killed. This could be a personal beef still, as the murder's own sexuality could have been a touchy subject and the motivation would be less transgender and more of a personal argument.

Righteous TK Hill, murdered by cousin after argument as cousin was abusing Hill's generosity. Cousin was an asshat.

Pauly Likens, teen brutally murdered after sexual encounter with 29 year old deranged pedophile. Not a hate crime, a sick fuck crime. All these murders are tragic, but this one is especially awful.

Liara Kaylee Tsai, murdered by ex-partner. Passion related crime.

Tavy Dior Thomas, killed by partner in fear of relationship exposure. Is "I'M NOT GAY" a hatecrime? I am legitimately asking.

Jazlyn Johnson, shot by friend. He maintains it was an accident, hysterically crying he accidentally shot his friend, currently being charged with murder. More details as the trial commences.

Andrea Doria Dos Passos, open investigation. Dos Passos was homeless and released on a 4 year probation for a violent offense. Three men beat Dos Passos to death, surprising the sleeping Dos Passos. This could be anything from personal beef to gang violence to random acts of violence against the homeless.

Starr Brown, killed by coworker. Coworker has a history of violence, turned himself in.

River Goddard (Nonbinary), murdered by sick fuck boyfriend over alleged infidelity. Very much the boyfriend being fucking insane.

Alex Franco, armed hold up gone wrong.

Diamond Cherish Brigney, murdered by a man without a motive released. They likely knew each other.

Redd/Barbie, trans woman killed in Chicago. A fellow trans woman was injured during the shooting. The case remains unsolved because Chicago is a city of incompetent fuckups. I don't know if I need to elaborate on Chicago's govermental problems more than that.

There's a chance that if I look up 2022 or 2023's victims I would have more details as possible trials would have taken place. I wonder if there should be a thread for trans murders? Keeping track to see which are hate crimes and which are not.

There is this report from the UK that talks about trans people more likely to be killed by outside factors. HOWEVER, this means suicide, homicide, car accidents, and the like. Figures are sketchy, but currently the trans murder monitoring project has 13 for the UK. Over all time monitored. Brianna Ghey is the most recent murder, and there have been years without a trans murder in the UK. External violence is more likely to happen as result of an accident or by their own hand. The report also says that trans people are more likely to die from accidental poisoning, and I admit I don't know what counts as such.

I do not understand how or why anyone would listen to the opinions of a person who has a faggot color palette and pentagram in their profile picture and a troon flag next to the name tag. All of this screams that Jay Blue has a serious mental illness and should not be viewed as the arbiter of truth. Because i have followed through with a lot of profiles linked on X to Fagsky. Yet all of them have little or 0 engagement. They hardly post on the accounts at all.
They all still very active on X, usually reply broing to people of interest.(Trump, Elon, RW commentators). Trying to "dunk" on them in asshurt fury after the election.
Yet when you click through to their profiles, you get silly low energy RW R stupid,grifters,evil,nazi posts. They get 1 guy go "i know right" and that is the end of the interaction. Till they make a post basically saying the same thing. Usually with a screenshot of an X argument. They never seem to talk to others on the platform.
I assume it is because they either fear the ban and don't say anything. Or they opened their accounts to follow and read the more prominent people.
I can imagine it is the more prominent leftist troons who get any sort of real engagement.

I said this when the great BlueSky migration first happened, but they can't post on there like they did on Twitter because what they really want is to argue with (and dogpile) chuds. You can see this in how so much of their content is them just talking about stuff they saw on Twitter.

I think most of them quickly realised that living in an echo chamber is actually really boring and you may as well just have a WordPress because, at best, the only interactions you're ever going to get are clap emojis or shallow 'So true' comments.
