He wasn't really memorable at all, and the climax was more about getting people out of the Quantum Realm, but I like Walter Goggins as a character actor. He's the closest thing this movie has to a villain.

He seems like too much of a goofball after playing Boyd Crowder in Jusified.

Another day, another soulless, by-the-numbers C+ Marvel movie praised as an A+.

Guess we can expect this for the next ten years as well.

I liked it enough, but there’s no reason why it couldn’t have been made before Infinity War. It also makes Endgame look even worse in retrospect.

Captain Marvel and Endgame were huge blows for me, so I’m glad we got a decent Black Widow movie before the MCU goes further down the toilet. Haven’t cared to watch any Disney+ stuff.

Generally don't care about capeshit anymore, but I want to see MCU go down in flames right next to Star Wars, so let's run the numbers.
$39m domestic open
41% drop on day 2 ($23.3m)
24.7% drop on day 3 ($17.5m)
A $79.8m domestic weekend and supposedly another $78m international for a grand total of $157.8m.
Production of budget of $200m (x2 for marketing/distro) = $400m to break-even.
BW needs another $242m.
Being generous and assuming BW did about one-third of its overall box office on its opening weekend like most B-C tier capeshit, then by the time it wraps up, it will, unfortunately, end up just over the line of a 'successful' movie somewhere between the $450m-$500m mark just based on inertia.

Feels bad man.

they'll probably inflate the Disney+ numbers in the coming days I really doubt they would admit the movie underperformed, unless they just blame it on Corona Chan/ White men

Does it acknowledge that these kind control and conditioning trucks have been used on both sexes for decades, or is it mai wimmens?

Watched half the RLM review and wow it sounds shitty.
Like turning being castrated into a joke since having it be traumatic offended troons and dead eggers. Having the villain be Martin Scorsese look-alike because Marvel is still buttmad over being called movie rides. Still going on about metoo despite far worse things happening to women in shithole countries like cold war russia (before and after collapse).

There's nothing #metoo about it though? Lmao. There is one comment on forced sterilization but its never brought up again and it is used for a grossout joke towards David Harbour to get him to stop talking.

Anyway

D'you think it's possible they could bring Taskmaster back as a different character down the line? Make it a title like Captain America?
I mean, it's technically possible since they are bring back the "real" Mandarin for the 10 rings movie after the Iron Man 3 swerve, but I doubt they will switch the Taskmaster back to male. Hell, I'll honestly be shocked if we ever see the character again. Maybe in a Disney plus series, but that's it.

tbf, the idea of the “real” mandarin was revealed a LONG time ago in (I think) a DVD extra. One of the guys the Ant Man 1 villain was trying to sell tech to also had a Ten Rings tattoo, presumably in affiliation with the actual gang.

Did you miss the whole villain and his plot/plan?, because that whole thing is Metoo era stuff, with that said wouldn't say it's badly done in a hamfisted way or anything just very shallow and dull.

Because forced brainwashing and controlling women = #metoo
Okay then. Metoo is about sexual predators.

To think, this movie would have been out throned by LeBron James and him thinking he’s more superior than Looney Tunes :story:

Between sales going down for Black Widow and the former getting trashed by critics, I’m not shocked that most people don’t want to go back to theaters so soon. Hollywood is not looking too good right now.

Hey if you guys ever want to see someone defend attempted child murder, just make a superhero do it:
wtf.jpg

"It was the only way to get to him" but it wasn't?? She already thought he was in the building, she just needed confirmation and surely there was some other way that didn't involve hurting children. I actually think it was a good way of showing that Natasha was so desperate for freedom that she was willing to kill children but I guess you can't show anything less than black and white morality in these movies.

Also you'd think Antonia would be more pissed off by the fact Natasha failed. Like, you had no issue with blowing up a child to get Dreykov but you couldn't even be bothered to confirm the kill? I would be absolutely blinded by rage.

TBF ScarJo did say that the movie was inspired by MeToo, though it seems like she meant it in a more "women abused by men in general" sense and not specifically MeToo.

Its still one of the highest grossing films of this year by far.

Gee it's almost like we're in a pandemic...........
