So.... I'm gonna add this since I haven't seen it mentioned yet, but does Phil think no one knows what and how to file an extension? This fool was never in danger at April 15th as he claims because he can just file an extension giving him till October 15th. Any of his paypigs not realizing this makes the high amounts dropped tonight even more laughable.

Also, this maybe exactly why he made the slip/changed narrative to end of year house selling. Also, Also, does he think selling a house is instantaneous? Because if he truly needs/has to sell his house, he better put it on the market now... just saying.
Considering this whole section is about how Phil is a liar, it's amazing how much everyone takes him at his word about the taxes and then runs deep analysis of his words like they mean something. He NEVER states anything clearly because he wants to be able to weasel out of it later.

Here's some facts, then you can go back to speculating based on Phil's words:
Phil was NEVER in danger of having to sell the house immediately because:
  1. he could file an extension
  2. he's been so vague about where the money he's received has gone that he could have paid off more than you think, or not owed what he said, or who knows what
  3. even if he owed TWICE what he says, the government does not come to your house on April 16th and seize it. Does. Not. Work. That. Way. It takes them years to catch celebrities making millions who don't pay. And Phil isn't hiding, he has an attorney/accountant and is attempting to make payments. They would work with him and he'd likely be able to stall any real consequences for years. And granted, Phil is stupid enough to keep making the same mistakes, but he's also a drama queen.
Despite fundraisers and rumors and everything else, none of the above has changed. Phil will get out of trouble, if he was ever in it, again.

You can file an extension for more time to file, but you cannot use an extension to delay payment. You still have to pay the IRS on or before April 15 if you fucked up your taxes and owe them
Oh Hi Phil!
Seriously, why comment without actual knowledge on the subject, especially to discredit accurate information? You can file for an extension even if you still owe for your estimated quarterly payments. How do I know you may ask? I have first hand knowledge because I have to pay quarterly payments myself and I wait to do it all at once instead of quarterly. As we speak I'm filing an extension, and guess what! I owe taxes and don't have to pay till October.

I also know first hand that the "penalty" DSP talks about is so negligible that it's the stupidest thing to even claim it hurts him so much it puts him behind.

Not only did you accuse someone of being DSP for some reason, you were fucking wrong on top of it. You don't have to file until October. You do have to pay by April 15 or you'll owe both failure-to-pay and failure-to-pay-estimated tax penalties plus interest. You will owe this for each quarterly payment starting when it was due (April 17, June 15, September 17, and January 15) and not starting April 15.

Form 4868- the very form you file to request an extension- clearly states and I quote "Although you aren’t required to make a payment of the tax you estimate as due, Form 4868 doesn’t extend the time to pay taxes. If you don’t pay the amount due by the regular due date, you’ll owe interest. You may also be charged penalties. For more details, see Interest and Late Payment Penalty
on page 2."

Enjoy your six months of accumulated "negligible" penalties and interest in October. If you'd like I can punch in your tax liability and tell you how much they'll be so you can start saving now. I won't charge you but this year you should pay someone to advise you on your tax obligations. Accountants aren't that expensive to hire.

My bad, I'll take the big "L" on that one. I don't end up paying penalties because I cover 90% of my liability in April based on estimation. My ignorance comes from having a CPA who just takes care of it and I don't physically pay till October.

This is fine and DSP pretends it's not which is another way he has twisted the truth until this year when he admitted finally that he was wrong. Its almost like he barely knew anything about taxes despite being a damn finance major and self-employed person for almost a decade.

Your Honor, I'd like to file this as Exhibit A in the case of "Why Phil Can Never Get An Actual Job, Ever".

Proportionally, in an eight-hour day, Phil would do just over five hours of work. Of course, the basis of this is Phil's current "job" of playing video games for the internet so one can only wonder how long he'd last doing something physically or mentally taxing.

I feel like he could've benefited from splitting up the CoD games, play MWR 2nd, MLB 3rd then Blackout last. Sekiro as the opener was a solid choice, his viewer count is higher playing it. Why he decided to play MLB I have no fucking clue, I can't imagine that was fun to play or watch during a marathon. I also would've recommended playing with subs or donos, but this is Dave so... yeah.

He even fucked up the amount of play time. He said he was gonna play Sekiro and Blackout longer but ended up play MLB for pretty much the same amount of time as Blackout. So the marathon was pretty much dominated by Sekiro as the opener, MLB and Blackout didn't reach 2 hours and MWR just broke the hour mark.

And for some reason I don't imagine he did much during Blackout, my guess would be camping and getting bodied. At least he played to his strength though, he does usually make more money when he's not playing games. Which is a bit weird for a gaming streamer.

BTW, what is with all the lengthy breaks? Other streamers crank out 12hr+ streams on the regular and don't take that many breaks. Does he have a bladder problem or something? Seems so weird.

DSP mods go on power trips. I don’t know why they think they are so powerful. Would be a shame if someone found out who JonC really was.
So basically instead of approximately 6 hours and 15 minutes of gameplay we got 8. Amazing marathon.

What should just be a normal Saturday for him is instead a "special event".

Remember when the first marathon was originally going to be a Wednesday? I think DSP has legit forgotten that other people mostly work M-F.

Either that, or he simply doesn't give a shit and expects his loyal viewers to show up no matter what time works best for DSP instead of DSP scheduling what works best for his viewers.

Actually, now that I've typed it out, it's certainly the latter.
