I don't think it looks that bad. Sure, the character designs are hideous, but I really don't think they expect people to fap to a teenage girl's talking vagina.

There's fetish art for the fucking Nutshack and Anne Frank on Deviantart. Nothing is safe from getting fetishized.

The hormone monster looks like that alien from American Dad. In fact, the limited animation and terrible jokes are giving me those vibes...

Dunno, I actually enjoyed watching this cartoon. And I didn't think like "gasp, that's child porn". Naw, that's just some toon on the internet.

Got through the first episode, it was as uncomfortable to watch as sitting through Sex Ed Class in grade school. Dialogue was 90% sex jokes and what adults think edgy teens sound like, I don't know about you guys but I don't think middle schoolers would casually drop the word "cunt".
Speaking of adults, they couldn't get voice actors who can pull off sounding like preteens? Holy shit was hearing full grown adult voices out of preteens very distracting.

They could have done all that without showing a twelve-year-old's talking vagina.

Agreed, but I think freaking Drawn Together did worse.

Watched two episodes of it and in retrospect I think it is a mixed bag.
The art style sucks overall, but the show is not like explicitly pornographic and just makes mostly sex jokes not worse than anything done on Family Guy. Heck, compared with Family Guy I would say this show is kinda restricted despite an entire episode about a kid who gets addicted to porn to compensate for the fact his "girlfriend" broke up with him.
It is for me kinda like these teen sex comedies from the 90s, but instead of 20 something actors trying to come off as 17 year old virgin losers, it is about pubescent awkward 11/12 year olds who think a completely new world has opened up for them because they stumbled upon daddies old porn magazine. That and a huge dose of American Dad. Not an instant classic, but the trailer made it come off as WAY worse than it is I think.

(what's with people watching two episodes and then there done?) The parents are so open minded in this show it's kinda creepy imo. Whenever Nick (the main lead) is in a frustrated mood his parents would give him a very graphic detail about sex in every per episodes that even Nick found it creepy. At least there not the stereotypical abusive parent, that's a change but still lose the relatability. (Unless they're meant to be the unironical liberal parents to make it progressive.)

Última edición:
Just watched the first one. I was expecting so much worse, besides from the fucking animated dicks (including a child's at one point!) It really wasn't that bad.

I don't know about you guys but I don't think middle schoolers would casually drop the word "cunt".
This probably isn't very representative since I went to a middle school with a bad reputation. That said, "cunt" was not an uncommon word in my school. There's a good chance the only cusses not used at my school were foreign ones, excluding Mexican Spanish.

Watched a few episodes for myself. They were okay enough, but between this and Dear White People, Netflix really needs to get different people to cut their trailers.

I watched the first episode. ::powerlevel:: I laughed at the dicks playing basketball ::powerlevel:: but sat in uncomfortable awkwardness during the rest.

What I found most offputting wasn't the sexualiziation of underage characters but hearing the kids speak with adult voices and dialogue. They have the vocabulary and careful articulation of a Sophie Labelle comic. It comes off as very strange and alien, especially since they're supposed to be pubescent and not lab grown little prodigies.

I always give a show three episodes before deciding it's crap, so I'll extend that courtesy to Big Mouth. So far though, meh. Cringe.

I hate humanity a little more every time I see this art style.
