The Holy Spirit of God is required for the interpretation of God's Word, implementation of God's knowledge and identification of God's will. As Jesus Christ said, "Ye must be born again."

Not many people know that the Holy Bible had books removed, had texts added and altered and had messages manipulated to fit the Council of Nicaea via Constantine, a false Christian. Anyone who tells you otherwise is either deceived, or a liar. The Book of Revelation warns us that those who add to the Book of this prophecy will have the plagues of this Book added to them and if anyone removes from this Book, their name shall be removed from the Lamb's Book of Life. Once I read the Book of Enoch, I understood why they would do this.

I finally understood why I never believed that Jesus Christ was a 'magician' who made a coin appear in a fish's mouth to pay Caesar taxes, never accepted that I must bow to the governing body of my day, never believed the Jews were God's 'chosen' people and the rest of us were outcast scum, never followed man-made organized religion and never thought for one second that God wasn't in control of what occurs on Earth. I choose to follow Jesus' teachings and trust God only, not man - not even myself. You cannot serve God and mammon, God and Satan or God and the kings of this age, you must choose 'this day while it is called to-day' whom you will serve. God is love but always remember, He is Holy and will not be mocked or bend His will to ours. We must surrender our will to His if we truly want to know His love, favor and peace. Even in the midst of war, His mercy endures forever.

That is why it is imperative to humble yourself in holy fear (reverence), bow down your soul, repent of your sinfulness, seek God with all your heart, mind, soul and strength on your knees in sincerity and believe on Jesus Christ His only begotten Son, our King, Lord and Savior. Pray the Lord of hosts grant you His Holy Spirit in His grace that your soul may be saved alive. Selah.

Then reread the Bible, the Holy Spirit's revelation, discernment and knowledge will unfold to you as it never could have before.

John 3:6-8-That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. 7Marvel not that I said unto you, "You must be born again."
8The wind blows where it wishes, and you hear the sound of it, but cannot tell where it comes from, and where its going: so is every one that is born of the Spirit.

Ecclesiastes Chapter 12:12-14-And further, by these, my son, be admonished: of making many books there is no end; and much study is a weariness of the flesh. 13Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep His commandments: for this is the whole duty of man. 14For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil.

John 3:19-And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.

If I cared any less for your opinion of my soul, it would be sin unto me. I am not your witness, I am God's.

If you don't understand His will, that's on you, not me. Of course you do not mention the scriptures in the Book of Revelation which irrefutably warn us that man will 'add & remove' from the book of the prophecy, because you're still serving Satan's kingdom. Again, not my problem.

The Lord said work out your salvation with fear and trembling and study to show yourself approved by God, your reply reveals you neither have the holy fear of God nor do you possess your own soul through His Son Jesus Christ, in the working of the Holy Spirit. I never cared, what you or anyone else chooses for their own soul, it's personal. I call ALL to repentance, including myself, when I'm wrong, I confess it and turn from my sin, but when I'm right, forget it, you'll turn to stone before I will bow to your blasphemous god - the self.

Man from Nineveh, I call you to either repent and turn from your sin or perish in it, but I really don't care what you decide. I merely refuse to have your soul's blood on my skirts. Your profession of belonging to Jesus Christ is found wanting and you should remedy this immediately.

Let God be true and every man a liar.

While the "fear and trembling" part (Psalm 2:11) was in reference to rulers and kings and such, it's usually the rule of thumb that these things apply to everyone as well. Don't have much to add, I just think it's a really metal part of scripture.
Why do the nations rage,
And the people plot a vain thing?
The kings of the earth set themselves,
And the rulers take counsel together,
Against the Lord and against His Anointed, saying,
“Let us break Their bonds in pieces
And cast away Their cords from us.”

He who sits in the heavens shall laugh;
The Lord shall hold them in derision.
Then He shall speak to them in His wrath,
And distress them in His deep displeasure:
“Yet I have set My King
On My holy hill of Zion.”

“I will declare the decree:
The Lord has said to Me,
‘You are My Son,
Today I have begotten You.
Ask of Me, and I will give You
The nations for Your inheritance,
And the ends of the earth for Your possession.
You shall break them with a rod of iron;
You shall dash them to pieces like a potter’s vessel.’ ”

Now therefore, be wise, O kings;
Be instructed, you judges of the earth.
Serve the Lord with fear,
And rejoice with trembling.
Kiss the Son, lest He be angry,
And you perish in the way,
When His wrath is kindled but a little.
Blessed are all those who put their trust in Him.

Actually, no it's not, it's refering to the Holy Reverence of God, aka the Holy Fear of God which leads to knowledge of His Holiness. It is a terrible thing to be in the Hands of the Almighty God, for He kills and makes alive and will have mercy upon whom He so chooses.

Human sons give their human fathers more reverence and fear than they give the Heavenly Father, this shouldn't be.

Proverbs 9:10-The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: and the knowledge of the Holy is understanding.

I like Bible study because some of the people at my job do Bible study in one of the conference rooms once a week and there's usually some pizza left over for anybody who wants it the next day.

John 21:1-25
One of the best parts of the entire Bible (Apocrypha included). Beauty in simplicity, friendship, and even a heathen couldn't deny the sweetness of such.

Something I realized while reading a book. What's the one thing that made Jesus use violence? Sure it was in the temple but what were they doing? Usury.

They turned the holy temple into a bank/marketplace and ruined lives with interest.

The thought came to me as I was reading the history of the central bank, it never mentions him but it was very profound in helping me understand the rage.

How does free will and the existence of omniscient God mesh with each other?
It's not just that he knows every choice every person will ever make, but the fact that it is knowable in general means that everything is predetermined and therefore we have no free will.

What enraged Jesus was turning the temple grounds, the dwelling place of the Lord, into a marketplace; there was a variety of currency being converted and trade going on near the temple and it showed a total lack of reverence for the Lord. Of course the predatory financial practices going on didn't help Jesus' mood, I'm sure.

What's notable is that Jesus was dead a week later.

There have been entire theological texts written on this topic, and different Christian denominations will say slightly different things. I am just satisfied with my belief that God exists outside of time and does not view time/events in a linear fashion as we do. We cannot comprehend a fully omniscient and omnipresent God with our linear brains so there is no point trying.

the Biblical prophecies being fullfilled today and in ancient times(with other history accounts to back up the happenings) is pretty solid evidence to me that it is true.
shit, it ain't that hard to come up with a fulfilled prophecy. It's called "cold reading" and mentalist performers use it all the time. Here, watch:

"I PREDICT THAT ON FEBRUARY 1ST, 2024 THERE WILL BE A GREAT CALAMITY."

OK now watch the news headlines and get back to me in a couple weeks.

I find it interesting that the human characters of the Bible are morally flawed, especially for the principal Jewish characters. Abraham, for instance, was so devoted to God that he would have gone through with killing his son, Isaac, until an angel intervenes. Something to note is that Isaac does not follow Abraham afterwards and Sarah dies soon after. There is a possibility that Abraham's attempted killing of his son was wrong and that it ruined his family. Isaac leaves him and Sarah dies out of grief. More to the point is that Abraham gets another wife and fathers several children that will be the progenitors of nations that war with the Jews later in the Bible.
Abraham was never going to kill Isaac. He tells Isaac this in the text
Another character would be King David. After David becomes King, he is infatuated with a woman, Bathsheba. He impregnates her, which may or may not have been consensual. David sends Bathsheba's husband to the frontlines so he can be killed, allowing David to marry Bathsheba. While David acknowledges that this was sinful, his repentance does not absolve him of future suffering from the loss of several of his children, including the son he had with Bathsheba.

What fascinates is me is trying to understand why the Jewish writers of the Old Testament give the "father of the nation" and the supposed progenitor of the messiah such character flaws. Maybe it is to highlight that even those that are in high esteem with God are not perfect, that they are just like everyone else.
It's to highlight humanity and nature of sin and to highlight the consequences of disobeying god

Would you say that there's a non-zero chance that God doesn't know which choices we will make?
