Baldur's Gate III Announced - ...and it's coming to Google Stadia and PC

yep. after saving moon lady
Put down walls of fire at the entrance to the far hall. Misty Step up to the rafters overhead. Use Eldritch Blast or Thunderwave (or w/e it's called) to knock anyone already up there off. Fireball everyone. Counterspell the silences or blinds. Jaheira is going to run ahead and get herself killed like a retard, so use Shadowheart to heal her whenever possible.

You can respec anyone at any time for 100 gold by talking to Withers, including your companions. So it's impossible to fuck up your build permanently. Don't ever restart because you built badly in BG3.

Getting Misty Step on everyone is one of the most important things you can do. There are items that grant it throughout Act 1, and Warlocks/Wizards/Sorcerers can learn it with a level 2 slot.

What companions are you using? Basically every class is busted at high levels, but a Life Cleric Shadowheart + Evocation Wizard Gale will be able to carry the whole game for you. Evocation in particular is retarded in how busted it is; it makes the other casters completely useless. Smart use of spells like Wall of Fire and Fireball should make the fight like the one at the start of Moonrise super easy.

what the fuck is this battle to enter the castle. im getting totally fucking trashed
im rolling with a human warrior and my party is shadowheart, lazel and karlach

And here I thought the game was easy as hell. Guess it's not the same for everyone.
Anyway, assuming you kept the original classes, your party is basically 2 Fighters + 1 Barb + 1 Cleric. It's not ideal, but you can work with it.
If I were in your shoes, I would try the following strategies:
  • Use a Void Bulb to gather everyone there and use a Scroll of something magic to blast them (Fireball, Cone of Cold, etc) or simply throw some barrel or smokepowder bomb in their faces
  • I would use Arrow(s) of Roaring Thunder to knock down the niggers on the rafters
  • I would Misty Step (scroll) Shart into their ranks and cast Fear, or try using Warding Glyph - Sleep.
  • I would bum rush Zrell and kill her first with my 2 fighters and barbarian, since she's the only real menace. And if you find yourself surrounded, cast a Fog Cloud on yourself

retarded question, can you still make your companion quests if you leave them at the camp?
Based on my experience so far, if you don't bring a companion with you in a specific place they ask or their quest takes place, you can lose some approval, some key information or some items. Their quest will update, but it will note something like "Niggerman wasn't there, we may never know what watermelon he favored".
As for their quest finale, I'm not sure what happens if they're not present. It was not something I tried.

That being said, I want to hear what fun and interesting combos people came up with and don't you fucking dare give me wet + ice/lighting. Everyone knows that one.
Also, sell me on your favorite, but slept on spell.

You generally want at least 1 caster (Shart) and ranged. Depends on the fights. A good shadowy fight where Rogue can stealth and ambush a lot is Astarion is good, or when its a big clump get Gale. If you are melee use Lazeal or Karlach or Mintara, not more than 1.

You generally don't want a 3 melee party.

So, did any of you ever notice this creepy little stalker in some areas?

I'm trying to check different zones, see if I can get her on camera, like some Big Foot or Chris-chan hunt.

Finally got around to watching the launch cartoon and....:

Nobody told me there was a Jim Sterling cameo.

So I'm getting the game once I get back home. I know nothing of what to expect, but since I want to play a cleric, I have already decided to kill the vampire dude when I get the chance. No hatred as I know fuck all about him, but I feel like it would be the right thing to do as a cleric or a paladin.

You can refuse to recruit him too, though if you do stake him (if you play a cleric of a god that would do so), than make sure to get the lich, Withers, and respec Shadowheart because you don't nees 2 clerics. A rogue is very useful against traps or with locked chests.

Or just use cheatengine to boost your own rolls, and respec him. I made him a rogue/warlock for evil playthrough, as you miss out on a lot of companions.

At first, I also hated Astarion because of the gay bear meme and that he's portrayed as an effete nigger. But on a campaign, I had him in my party for the better part of it and he's grown on me. He's such a lovable asshole and he made me laugh several times.
In the end, who you take is up to you, but I believe all companions should be given a chance to see who you like the best.

And if you want to motivate this from a role-playing perspective, unless you're doing a classic lawful stupid run, then it's all about pragmatism. You have a ticking time bomb in your head, no cure in sight, in unknown lands. At least that's how I would see it, but then again, I never play cleric/priest/paladins as I consider them cuck classes.

If people haven't already, re-spec Shadowheart into a Barbarian and enter Rage/Frenzy.
I was honestly taken aback by how well the VA did the scream. It's way better then Karlach's.
