Those are all good points. One of the big turn offs for me, besides WotC obvious meddling, is how long the game is. I somewhat blame Skyrim for this. When that game came out everyone wanted to keep playing Skyrim forever. Game devs learned all the wrong lessons from that game. Now we have games that are bloated as all fuck and a 100 hours long. Many Zoom Zooms don't have the attention span to keep playing a 100 hour long game. Hell most people I know don't have time to invest 10 hours a week in a MMO let alone a 100 hours in a CRPG.
I think you'll enjoy Obsidian's Tyranny. A game full of difficult choices and no easy heroics.
The (Sucubus/Incubus-like) Slanneshi demons in Warhammer are hermaphrodites, in TWW, they are voiced by a man and a woman simultaneously. Maybe Olly wants to do both.
The reason I believe he is playing a succubus is because no tranny would turn down the chance to play as a succubus. It is a tranny's dream to be a succubus and that is because trannies believe that, like a succubus, they are sultry and seductive when really their attempts at such comes off as creepy and gross. I have a feeling many normies who play the game are going to be either weirded out by Olly Boy's attempts to be sexy and seductive or think that this is some transphobic joke on part of the devs.
When the early access first came out surfaces were more of an issue, and luckily Larian listened and toned that shit down. Firebolt and ray of frost were terrible offenders, both making fire and ice terrain respectively, even on a miss.
From what I heard, Tyranny looks to me like the opposite where every choice is which brand of orphans you are going to maim.
I agree with you in regards to the LGBTQ+ accepting guilds in MMO's. Thankfully I've rarely come across such guilds in the Neverwinter MMO and that maybe because there are many players from the Middle East who play that game, believe it or not, and we all know how the Muslims feel about the LGBTQ+. In fact I've been seeing a lot of shit posting in the game chat about the LGBTQ+ and what not recently which is leading me to believe that the pendulum is starting to swing. About time. When the normally pozzed game chat is now taking a shit on trannies you know that people are starting to have enough.
It was a bit more nuanced then that, you were working for Lord Sauron and most of the choices were more like do you favor his Spartan Legionnaires as they wipe out all resistance mercilessly and damage the infrastructure but spare non combatants or do you support his Insane Clown Posse in precision strikes against the resistance that leave the infrastructure unharmed but result in suboptimal amounts of rape and/or pillage. After the first act you get somewhat more choice in the matter since it turns out you are a unique chosen one. I actually liked the setting a lot and am sad they never shit out the sequel that was cliffhangered but on the other hand your companions were utter feminist bozo written clowns. It was like Cursed (Unfuckable) Legionnaire forced to shit in his armor and Foxy Grandpa, a surprisingly unfuckable 16 year old girl and 3 strong but sexually aggressive independent women of Insane Clown Posse, not-Greek MILF widow and Wolfwoman persuasions.
It also gets way dodgier as it goes on and ends right when it would get good. Fucking bluest of blue balls on that one but it flubbed the dismount and landed flat on its face with that final area for me anyway.
