I love Charli XCX but "how i'm feeling now" only has 3 good songs, in my opinion. She has so many unreleased masterpieces that would become insta hits if she made an album with them.

I will defend Metal Machine Music, it's a great industrial, experimental album, as for Mistrial yeah that shit sucks. Also let's not forget his last solo album which was literally a Tai Chi meditation tape. Which isn't bad but for Lou who was known as a asshole and narcissistic it's weird.

I don't think Thirteen is as much bad as it is just forgettable. A few standout tracks (Public Enemy, Black Swan, New World Order, Never Dead) but otherwise just kind of bland. A solid 6.5/10 for me personally. Not great, not terrible. Not that this is a controversial opinion but Super Collider for me is easily the nadir of the band's discography. Opens with a decent song and closes with a good Thin Lizzy cover but everything in-between ranges from simply confused to abject mess. Out of curiosity what is that favorite Megadeth album of yours?

Like they forgot to write or record the guitar parts for one thing.
"Path of Eight" by Mouth of the Architect - like if you're going to release something that doesn't remotely resemble your previous works, just change your fucking name.
"Chuckles and Mr. Squeezy" by Dredg - "Parrot..." wasn't good by any stretch, but at least I could kind of see what you were going for. This...this was just utter shit. I mean you've always been a completely pretentious band (although if you only saw them live, you wouldn't think so), but I don't know what the fuck you guys were thinking with this. How did your guitar player even agree to any of this?
Then there's Presto and everything after it by Rush. I mean I get it, it was the '90s, but this stuff just existing makes listening to the old good stuff depressing.
"Witch Mountain" by Witch Mountain. OK you got a new vocalist, but why do all the songs suck too.
"Vultures" by Thunderon - This is really more of just a letdown rather than a bad album, but the S/T debut was SOOO damn good, I was just groin-punchingly disappointed.

"Danzig 5: Blackacidevil" by Danzig. Danzig went in HARD into the industrial sounds prevalent at the time and boy, did he ever shit the bed. Only three tracks are worth a damn to listen to; the cover of Black Sabbath's Hand of Doom, the album closer Ashes, and Come To Silver if you check out the acoustic version on "The Lost Tracks of Danzig". Most songs have have the energy of the first four albums, but the goddamn industrial aspects of it does not work with them. What makes this album even worse as this was the last album Glenn had his full vocal range and its muddled behind the dogshit microphone he intentionally used on the album. While I listen to this album on occasion, it is deserving of its ire. If this were ever to get rerecorded for some absurd reason, I say leave Ashes & Hand of Doom alone, put the acoustic version of Come To Silver on it, redo the music to be without the industrial aspects, and have Glenn record the album on a regular microphone and it might hold up a lot better.

Metal Machine Music was a horrible album but a magnificent shitpost, at least if the story that he made it as a contractual obligation is true.

Thought of another one. Iced Earth's self titled debut album. The music within it is great, but their original singer was shit. Dude could not pick a singing style to stick with, so his vocals are all over the place.
I know they're viewed as a meme band at this point, but they do have some great music. Hell, Mark Tremonti's solo work when he's not playing in Alter Bridge is fucking great.

I'm currently listening to St Anger by Metallica and holy shit it gave me a headache on the third song in. I question whether or not this album is a torture device. The snare drums is so overriding. But then I realized your senses get used to snare drums and the Album isn't as bad as it was when you first listened to it.

Huey Lewis and the News. Their early work was a little too new wave for my tastes, but when Sports came out in '83,I think they really came into their own, commercial and artistically. The whole album has a clear, crisp sound, and a new sheen of consummate professionalism that really gives the songs a big boost. He's been compared to Elvis Costello, but I think Huey has a far much more bitter, cynical sense of humor.
In '87, Huey released this, Fore, their most accomplished album. I think their undisputed masterpiece is "Hip to be Square", a song so catchy, most people probably don't listen to the lyrics. But they should, because it's not just about the pleasures of conformity, and the importance of trends, it's also a personal statement about the band itself.

QOTSA were my favorite band for a while, until this album came out. Really bad midlife crisis rock, most of these songs sound like they were written specifically to be used in a Subaru commercial. It doesn't help that Josh Homme became a bit of a lolcow during this time. There are some potentially good cuts here but the production is paper-thin and sucks the life out of everything.
